I just redid my side yard and had gravel put in around the walkway. The loose rocks drove me crazy so I purchased gravel glue - two 32 ounce bottles, along with the applicator. The first time, I screwed up the mix ratio and watered it down. The second bottle, followed the directions on the back and applied it correctly (I think) using their applicator, which I love! I Waited for it to cure and it held and it held well. I was happy. Then we were inundated with rain that lasted for three days. The glue held really well in the large sections of gravel, but not other sections - particularly between the pavers. It was as if I didn’t apply the glue at all. I didn’t understand what I did wrong as I had applied it evenly throughout. I knew that the application needed to be fixed/adjusted, and likely due drainage and moisture. I messaged the company with my questions. After sending them pictures, explaining the water to glue ratio I used, they recommended that, due to the heavy rain we’ve been getting, I try a 1:1 ratio, and apply 2-3 coats. I am going to do that when we are not expecting rain for a day or two. It’ll work - not concerned. Again, it held up in other sections, just not all. As for the glue - here’s a picture following my second application. I do like that it has a color to it when you apply it, but dries clear. The gravel against the house - large sections believe it or not - are the sections that held and the glue is still intact. With the exception of the gutters, there’s no overhang that gives that section shelter - so not sure why there it held, and not everywhere else. Again, I suspect drainage or moisture that may have existed before I applied, but that’s a guess. I would just make sure the area is completely dry, no rain expected for a couple of days, and if you live in an area that is experiencing a lot of rain, thicken the glue and apply 3 coats. Of course, you can always reach out to the company with any questions, and ask for guidance before you start the process. They are responsive and extremely helpful. Also, get their applicator! It’s easy to use and makes the application easier allowing you to evenly distribute it throughout sections. But I do want to give a shoutout to the Petra! I appreciated their responsiveness and their willingness to walk me through the steps, and come up with an alternative solution. A company that is willing to do that, without issue, is a good company to stand behind and support. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

So I used this in multiple places. One is around paver's we walk on where sometimes people step on them. In this area I followed instructions and while spraying the sprayer constantly clogged. We are talking 10min total in time. The amount needed for even a small area is crazy but I started with a small area. After the first day they were hard to the touch and seemed to work. However on day 2 I tested a small spot and stepped on them. They were tacky and stick to the bottom of your shoes / feet and clusters of stones pulled up. I gave the rest another 2 days to dry and it’s a hotter day today. Just went out and it’s almost like the glue is softer and no longer hard. All they just pull up in sticky clusters. I now have an area where all the stones have a tacky sticking shiny finish and stick to everything. So instead of stones just being kicked and you happen to walk on them, now they stick to your feet and shoes and stay on the bottom which is worse. At this point we will probably have to rake up all the stones and replace them as it’s just a mess now. The other area I mentioned is just a flower bed so it doesn’t matter that they are sticky. But also I have no reason to use it there as no one moves those rocks so more of a pointless use case. This stuff is basically Elmer’s glue that doesn’t like heat.

. Update: I m changing my review to a 4 star. Even though the product didn't work for me, the seller reached out to me and offered a full refund even though I never asked for one. That alone will bring me back as a customer.

As a backyard lover and gardener, I’m thrilled with the Petra Max Rock Glue for Landscaping! It’s an absolute game-changer for keeping my rock beds, gravel paths, and decorative stones exactly where I want them. The adhesion is incredibly strong, locking everything in place even after heavy rain or wind. The thickness of the glue is just right — not runny or messy — and it spreads evenly for clean, professional-looking results. The color dries perfectly clear, leaving a natural appearance that enhances my garden’s look instead of dulling it. It dries quickly, too, which is a huge plus when working outdoors — I was able to finish an entire section in one afternoon without waiting around. Once cured, the appearance is flawless, giving the rocks a slightly polished look without making them shiny. I’m also impressed by the durability — it’s tough enough to withstand all kinds of weather while keeping everything securely in place season after season. It’s also pet-safe, which gives me peace of mind while my dogs roam the yard. Overall, this glue is strong, clear, fast-drying, and long-lasting — exactly what every gardener dreams of. If you want your landscaping to look neat, clean, and stay put, this is the product to get. Five stars all the way! 🌸💪
