A Sharp and Colorful Masterpiece
If you like retro, this graphic novel is a sharp and colorful masterpiece. It is light in places and very heavy in others. A few pages capture the respectful nature of Superman and Batman in a way I enjoyed. A great read full of superheroes.

First edition of the compact DC: New Frontier is missing the Justice League Special
I just received my copy, and I can confirm that the first edition, first printing of the Compact Edition of NEW FRONTIER is missing the Justice League: New Frontier Special. It is indicated in the indicia and in online promotional material and the Penguin website, but the book only contains the original six-issue mini-series and reproduction of a gallery of pin-ups. Still a great deal and a great story but this edition is incomplete.

Really excellent story and art at a very good price. It's too bad they shrunk it down, but at these prices you really can't complain. Sometimes the text boxes are a bit hard to read because of the smaller print, but that's to be expected. Cooke loved this book and it shows. He's a master of the medium and puts 90% of the current comic writers and artists too shame.
