I love MCM architecture, so this kind of picture book was right up my alley. I enjoyed how the opposites were a little more complex than the average opposites book. I also enjoyed the couple of interactive components that were thrown in where appropriate. The art was lovely. I enjoyed the simple bold colour palette as some of the drawings were quite detailed. Everything was pleasant for the eye and your eyes wandered all over the architecture. I also enjoyed how the artists was able to boil down the essence of the architecture/style for a child’s eye. Not too detailed, but also not lacking detail. Just right. The back of the book features each picture again with the information of the building or object that it represents. Then a final page with a few short paragraphs about Frank L. Wright and a picture of him as a child and adult. I enjoyed how there were a few more page flips than the average board book. Satisfying read. Very happy I purchased this as I will enjoy reading it to my son regularly. Book seems sturdy and well-made.

Simple illustrations but even for adults simple architectural forms are a special message!

Unbeknownst to me, this book can be for adults, too. Having travelled to Fallingwater, Guggenheim and other FLW locations, I was pleased to see them represented in a childs’-eye view. This book will be in our rotation for years to come.

Arrived earlier than expected in perfect conditions. Loved the color composition. Excellent to start cultivating creativity. Doesn't offer the general opposition examples like other baby books! As a parent who loves architecture and design, you won't regret the purchase!
