100 Feet Universal Garage Door Wire 2 Conductor Bell Wire Fits for Control Station/Sensors,24/2 AWG

This was the right wire to rewire my garage door sensors. Since I wasn't sure which sensor wasn't getting power from the garage door opener, I just replaced all the wires. 100 feet is plenty, and much cheaper than buying by the foot at the local hardware store.

I debated; 50', 100', 50' 100'. I'm glad I went for the 100'! You always need more than you think. This wire works great with my garage door opener and the new switches I bought.

Objectively, it is as described. 5/5 PERSONALLY for the application of garage sensor wiring, NEVER AGAIN with STRANDED. 3/5 I bought this to install new garage sensors, and kind of bypass them, since I don't have kids, and my Garage thermal curtain kept triggering the sensor in their original location. This is where STRANDED got SUPER ANNOYING. Wrapping this around screws or using Wire Nuts, totally fine, no issues there. BUT when you have to jam them into terminal connectors like on the back of the MOTOR HOUSING, big pain in the butt. The holes on the back kept chewing and mangling the stranded wires, and it was just such a headache. Stranded for doorbells, fine. Go Single Strand/Solid Core for Genie Sensors.

I had to recently replace one of our garage door opener sensors, and when I looked at the corrosion of the existing wire, I knew it would be necessary to replace the wire as well. This wire is not flimsy, nor is it weak. It has a good amount of protective coating, and stiff enough to easily handle while stapling it in place, and not flop over and making you struggle with it. Since the wire itself is small in size, you need to be careful when stripping it, to avoid ripping out too many strands for connections. Overall, a great, solid choice that will work for years.

Excellent wire for your installation. Use an exacto or other razor blade knife to separate the wires. Or you’ll pull the wire out of the insulation. And then need shrink wrap to use what you have installed. Large quantities are good value. This wire isn’t color coded and the bundle was a few inches longer than 100ft. And wire is gaged to carry any current from opener or sensors so functions well.

I have been looking all over for this type of wire. Great price. I install a lot of LED under cabinet lighting and this works fantastic. The white color blends nicely and the light grey lettering on the 2nd conductor helps identify the positive lead which is a must for low voltage lighting to work correctly. The small gauge wire makes it easy to hide or run behind the backsplash. I will be ordering this repeatedly.

As far as value for the dollar, this product is five stars. The product, in my opinion, is truly not bell wire or garage door opener wire. I am 62 years old and have installed numerous garage door openers and door bell systems, each time the wire supplied was solid conductor and color coded for polarity. This wire is stranded, not solid, and both leads are white. I was able to locate an extremely faint product marking on the outside of one of the leads jacket to assist in installation. Bottom line, the wire did work on my garage door openers.
