Nice effective utility multitool.
This is nice utility multitool, small size, fits well in your pocket, it does not take lots of space there. The operation of the blade is easy when needed, the sliding locking mechanism is purposefully semi strong so you do not accidentally open. So far so good, I purchased to open shipping boxes and for that purpose is excellent.

Punches way above it's weight class
You need this. You might not know it yet. Life is easier with it. It's small, light, and more durable than it needs to be. I got mine in orange so it's more visible if I drop it somewhere. It has a bottle opener, Phillips and flathead screwdrivers, so in a pinch they'll do. Flathead is also a tiny prybar for prybar stuff. The blade changes pretty easily, and it's just something else that's there when you need it. It takes standard utility blades, so you can cut whatever you want. I put a serrated blade on mine. I'll probably own one as long as they're made. It's tiny, and it slips easily into small pockets and the clip works well. I like how easily the blade comes out and retracts too. It's very safe, even bouncing around in a pocket.

Outdoor Edge SlideWinder: TSA-Friendly Keychain Utility Knife Worth Every Penny
********** OUTDOOR EDGE SLIDEWINDER: THE MACGYVER OF KEYCHAINS ********** >> THE MISSING KNIFE CHRONICLES After my trusty ITOKEY keychain knife pulled a Houdini act (probably living its best life in the same dimension as missing socks), I needed a worthy successor. Enter the Outdoor Edge SlideWinder - a bright orange beacon of utility that promised to fill the ITOKEY-shaped hole in my heart while keeping my keychain appropriately weaponized. At just $10, it costs less than two fancy coffees, yet promised the everyday superhero trifecta: compact size, a full-sized utility blade, and screwdrivers for impromptu IKEA therapy sessions. >> ADVENTURES IN EVERYDAY BLADERY Three weeks of daily carry later, the SlideWinder has earned its spot in my personal metal menagerie. Its most brilliant feature? When airport security gives you that disapproving look they've been practicing in the mirror, you can simply pop out the blade and surrender just that component. Like offering a sacrificial pawn in a chess game, you've appeased the security gods while keeping your precious tool. This alone makes it superior to traditional pocket knives that must be abandoned whole, leaving you to mourn both the knife and your dwindling faith in humanity. The full-sized utility blade handles everything from Amazon's cardboard fortresses (seriously, are they expecting siege warfare?) to snipping rebellious clothing threads and stripping wires. When dullness inevitably strikes, blade replacement is a tool-free process - slightly less butter-smooth than some, but easier than explaining to your spouse why you need another gadget. >> THE NUTS & BOLTS MANIFESTO The SlideWinder features: * Standard replaceable utility blade compatible with universally available replacements * Phillips and flathead screwdriver bits for emergency furniture surgery * Orange and black glass/nylon polymer construction (not your bargain bin plastic) * Spring-loaded locking mechanism that doesn't mess around * Keychain attachment point to prevent pocket escapes >> THE GOOD, THE BAD, & THE POINTY Advantages: * Sacrificial blade system means TSA gets a tiny souvenir instead of your whole tool * Standard utility blades ensure you're never stuck trying to cut Amazon tape with what feels like a butter knife * Bright orange "don't lose me" coloring (though it will still vanish if you look away for exactly 3.7 seconds) * $10 price tag that feels like legal theft Limitations: - Locking mechanism requires thumbs of steel - perhaps designed by someone with a grudge against opposable digits - Slightly noisier than all-metal alternatives (announces itself like a tiny percussion instrument) - Grip design seems to assume we all hold tools like they're pictured in the manual (we don't) >> WHO NEEDS THIS TINY ORANGE HERO? Perfect for: * Everyday carry enthusiasts who want utility without pants-sagging weight * Frequent travelers tired of funding airport security's personal knife collection * Anyone who appreciates the "always sharp" philosophy without sharpening stones >> SECRETS OF THE SLIDEWINDER MASTERS * Attach a small keychain ring to a spring O-ring for quick detaching/reattaching – perfect for when you need to loan it out or just show off your tactical preparedness * Keep a couple spare blades in your desk/car for instant rejuvenation * Remember: the bright orange isn't just for style – it's for finding the darn thing when you inevitably drop it >> THE FINAL SLICE At $10, the Outdoor Edge SlideWinder solves two persistent pocket knife problems: the "loose in pocket" syndrome (it's secure on your keychain) and the "TSA took my expensive knife" tragedy (just surrender the blade). While my discontinued ITOKEY was slightly smaller and lighter with even more features, the SlideWinder is the closest modern alternative I've found. Like MacGyver himself, it's not fancy or pretentious, just reliably useful when life throws its regular curveballs. Despite minor quirks like the thumb-challenging lock, it earns its keychain real estate through pure practicality. For anyone who values being prepared without looking like you're preparing for the apocalypse, the SlideWinder hits the sweet spot of function, price, and convenience.

Compact, Tough, and Incredibly Handy!
I picked up the Outdoor Edge SlideWinder on a whim, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite EDC tools. The build quality is solid — it feels durable without being bulky, and the bright orange color makes it easy to find in a toolbox, backpack, or glove compartment. The auto-retracting blade is a great safety feature, especially if you're like me and tend to forget to close your knife. It takes standard utility blades, so swapping them out is fast and cheap. I’ve used it for everything from opening boxes to trimming wires, and it hasn’t let me down. The integrated screwdrivers, pry bar, and bottle opener are surprisingly functional — not just gimmicks. The pocket clip is secure and keeps the tool right where I need it. It's lightweight, yet tough enough to handle daily tasks without a hiccup. Whether you're working in a warehouse, hiking, camping, or just want a reliable multitool for around the house, the SlideWinder is a smart, budget-friendly choice. Highly recommend!

Blade retracts if you so much as fart next to it
Almost great with one (fixable) things holding it back. Con: - Blade will not stay open. Setting it down gently can cause it to retract. The internal injection molded latch is too rounded. This was so infuriating, I took mine apart to see what was going on. I sanded mine down at a slight angle so it wouldn't slip. You can additionally bend the metal inside so there's more friction going in and out (which I did to one of my two). If enough people rate this as helpful I will add pictures showing the modifications. Pros: -one year of daily carry and heavy use and it's still going strong. -nice and compact -stiff and strong pocket clip -easy one-handed use -easy to change blades -safety orange is king -flat head works nicely for removing staples -flat head can be filed to be a little sharper (see pictures) for a faster and more brutish style of quickly breaking down boxes -bottle opener works great Debatable: -too short to get a solid grip (and I have small hands), but this can be fixed with a paracord monkey's-fist knot I love it to pieces and it would be an easy 5/5 if the knife stayed open.

If you're cutting & breaking down a lot of boxes this may not be your 1st choice; you'll need a knife w/ a larger handle like a DeWalt or Milwaukee ... but for an EDC this fits on your keychain. Pros: this mini utility knife is as described. Small, lightweight, safely locks into place when blade is deployed, blade is easy to change. (some reviewers mentioned that they had to use a Torx bit to remove... the package clearly says to press the orange release button on the slider to remove the old blade) Cons: Priced a bit high - 23 Canadian clams but I realize it's imported from the US. I recommend this mighty midget utility knife. Get yours now.
