After years of dealing with flimsy seat covers that cost much more than this and constantly have to be replaced, I decided to go a different route and try the Prozar cover in my Ford Ranger. It was easy to assemble and install, and I've been delighted with the high quality and great durability of this seat cover. Not only does it protect the back seat from dirt, hair, and muddy feet, but it also provides a much more stable surface for my two 60-80 lb dogs than we've had previously with soft covers. After a month, I'm surprised to report that it still looks practically new. I literally smile to myself every time I open the back door for them to jump in because it's such an upgrade from what I'm used to seeing. Will definitely buy again when/if this one wears out.

I have gone through many car seat covers for my 35 lb beagle, and none of them have lasted, so I was hesitant to try another one. What convinced me to give this one a shot was the hard bottom (high-density fiberboard), since durability and stability are my biggest concerns. I really prioritize my pup’s comfort during travel, so I knew I had to give this a try. The hard bottom was easy to assemble and makes a noticeable difference. It provides a more solid surface, which helps the cover stay in place much better than the softer hammock-style covers I’ve used in the past. I do wish it was a little stiffer, but so far we haven’t had any issues and it’s been holding up well. It fits my Mercedes sedan pretty well. I do have to fold the sides under slightly, but that hasn’t been a problem and doesn’t affect how it works. I also really like that the straps are adjustable and clip in, rather than being one-size-fits-all, which helps get a more secure fit and keeps everything from shifting around. The material feels thick and durable, and it’s easy to clean. I usually add a blanket on top for extra comfort, but even on its own, it feels much more supportive than thinner covers I’ve used before. My dog seems to really enjoy the extra space the hard bottom provides. I also love the mesh window... it allows my pup to see through without trying to climb onto the center console like he used to, which makes me feel like he’s safer and more secure during rides. The black color looks sleek and doesn’t make my car look tacky. I do wish the orange accent was black, but that’s a small personal preference and not a deal breaker. There was no chemical or factory smell when it arrived, which I really appreciated. Overall, this has been the most durable and stable car seat cover I’ve tried so far, and after going through several that didn’t last, this one finally feels like a long-term solution. Definitely recommend.

A total game-changer for traveling with big dogs! The solid base gives my pups so much extra room to relax compared to a flimsy hammock. It’s incredibly sturdy and feels like it’s built to last. I love the side-door protection; unzipping them for easy entry and exit is so convenient. And it easily wipes down with a damp cloth.If you have large breeds, this is a must-have for your backseat.

Update: Seller reached out to make this right. Sent me a replacement, which was unexpected and has me adding some stars back. I still think the product could be improved, but it does fit more than one of my vehicles and keeps all the dust and dirt off my seat so... for the price it isn't a bad purchase. Excellent customer service as well, and that always helps. The product is affordable, material is nice, appreciate the mesh window to the front, and the 'hard' bottom is an improvement over previous hammock-style covers. But... The clips that hold the side panels are cheap and one broke the first week. My puppy is only 20lbs right now, I don't think his weight alone broke it. I've had to knot it to continue using it. A second clip has broken since, of course, opposite strap, so it's knotted too. Pup wasn't even in the car at the time of the second breaking so 🤷🏻‍♀️. The side panels are also -very- flimsy. It arrived with a major crease in one side preventing it from staying up, it just flops. Contrary to the pictures, there are no zippers or ties or structure to the panels other than the floppy fabric itself & the strap to hold the side panels so they remain flimsy. Not effective for protecting door panels or containing the pup. I also wish the bottom boards were more sturdy and one piece front-to-back instead of two. I don't mind the multiple panels side-to-side, but the bottom definitely doesn't stay flat once he's moving around back there (again he is only 20lbs). So, before long it's leaning to match the angle of the seat so he slides to the back which is what I was trying to stop. I put something under the very back for support, but there's still a 'v' because of it being two boards instead of one front-to-back. It's better than nothing, but definitely needs improvements. Would avoid this one. Look for something else.

Don’t spend more money than this. There are quite a few listed on Amazon, but I’d say this is probably priced higher than necessary elsewhere. It is awesome and suits its purpose for my 55 lb Husky. It’s great quality and fits my suv Hummer H3 perfectly. And if you watch the video, that is exactly what you get. I folded the sides under the mat for a cleaner look. Good deal at around $50
