Production Lead Melting Pot

I have been melting lead in a garden shed for years using a blow torch to heat a pouring dish. While it works it is a bit messy and the results vary. I've also been concerned about health issues. My main use is to make fishing weights and I have a selection of Do-It moulds I imported from the states. This lead melting pot makes the whole process just so much easier, cleaner and I feel safer. The results are also much better. The only issue I've had is that the lead I use isn't always clean. So I bought the matching ladle from the same seller. This helped a lot and I managed to scrape off the surface layer of gunge which is produced. This helps prevent the nozzle getting bunged up. On occasion when the nozzle gets blocked I used an L shaped wire to push up into the nozzle (careful you dont get burned) and this free's up the blockage well. A great product and reasonably priced.

Owned a few lee products over the years so when I needed a melting pot the answer was obvious, these have been around for a long time so says a lot, easy to use and gets the lead melted very quick.

Brilliant for making leads for fishing. I melt lead in another pan, and skim the slag off, then ladle into this, to produce clean pouring lead. So much quicker and easier, than pouring by hand.

Does what it's supposed to. Although the nozzle does get blocked quite easily but poking a paper clip in the hole clears it. Would recommend this for light to moderate use. I melt around 10kg a day in mine and it works well but does eat the electric

This really is the ideal way to melt lead for pouring into moulds. It comes with very clear instructions and is very easy to use. I have found with other Lee products, that their after sales service is excellent. Spare parts are easy to obtain and very reasonably priced.
