Most important thing to know here is that you'll need to pretty much take your entire dash off to install this. Install instructions are non-existent. Managed to find a video on youtube with a similar unit being installed to see how to do it. Once installed, it does work well and is nice to have new tech/functionality but keep the stock look in the dash.

I like that the kit slides into a Lexus LX570 without changing the eight inch screen, so the dash still looks stock. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto tidy up the console yet the USB port stays for quick charging. A long press on the Menu or Voice key flips back to the factory interface, handy for checking vehicle settings. Steering wheel buttons, parking sensors, and the original backup camera remain active, so nothing familiar disappears. MirrorLink and AirPlay cover everybody else's phones.

Two stars because it DOES work No more stars because the cost is far too high to justify this. If you don’t ever bother with your vehicles AC or Heat, you’ll be fine as long as you NEVER need the climate settings again. This gives you CarPlay but REMOVES ALL OTHER OEM ABILITIES You can touch and swipe and some stuff still works but you cannot switch to your climate settings, audio, or any other vehicle settings. Depends on how important those things are to you. Unfortunately, I haven’t to return this and get the BeatSonic so I can use my climate and other settings as well.

This unit is a decoder unit for 200 series LX and LC. It was pretty straightforward to install following the simple instructions. This unit allows for wireless and wired android auto which the factory unit does'nt have besides Bluetooth. It adds more modern features using the exisitng headunit, keeping a factroy look. You can still switch between the new OS and using the factory OS. I love the fact I can use wireless connection that is more stable and have a more modern navigation with real time traffic. Its much faster and has more optimized routes. It retains factory sound system so it still sounds great. Touchscreen is the same IPS/LCD screen. I would say its a nice unit to add more modern features without changing the entire unit which can affect the exisitng Mark Levinson sound system.
