These allow smoother strokes with not so much goopy-ness, so less prone to smearing by the brush itself. Obviously you have to be mindful of what paper or other surface you’re applying the color to, but my observation has more to do with brush quality and quality of the liquid color - neither too sheer nor too opaque, applies where I want it to rather than where it feels like going, and I haven’t gotten the bubbles in the liquid on the brush that are so difficult to get rid of without wasting paint. Also, super affordable so I don’t feel like I have to reserve them for when I’ve got my final work in mind- I can play around some and not run out of color on samples and tests and scribbles and ideas. Nice price for those of us who use these types of pens a lot and have to watch our nickels.

If you are a calligraphy lover, these are going to be your best friends. I love the fact that I can use them on paper, glass or plastic. They are very easy to use and they dry quick on whichever media you are working on. I love all the colors and how economical they are. They last a long time.

These worked really well for how cheap they were. I got them to do details on a mural I was working on because I didn’t want to use up or damage my nicer paint pens. They aren’t the most opaque paint pens sometimes I had to do 2 layers to get the opacity where I wanted and the colors lean a little more pastel and muted. I would say these are great for kids or if you know you are going to be a little rough with them. Or if you just want to try paint pens out before investing in a nicer set. They flowed nicely and both tip sizes worked well for me. None of my markers are showing any sign if running out of ink even the ones I used a lot. I payed less than $10 for the set and would say I’m very happy with the purchase.
