bargain mini PC. silent too
real bargain. well impressed. needed a new media pc for our living room TV. had to be silent and capable of 4k Netflix etc. replaced ssd before i powered it up, so to have clean and trusted win11. did clean install and all OK, no problems and licence installed automatically (in bios as someone else mentioned.) gets warm, as expected as fanless,, but not at all hot (but prob not maxed it out)) really solid build and well engineered. all connectivity seems fine so far.

Good little performer
Great little PC and genuinely silent. Great for day to day office work. Performance is fine for web use too. But essential Windows updates simply would not install. Error after error. Followed advice in the Minix forum. Spent hours and hours trying to solves the update issue, all to no avail. Forum admin recommended downloading an earlier Windows 11 image for the Minix Z100-0dB. Followed advice and successfully installed, and updated. I enjoy a challenge but wouldn't expect a nin techy person to be willing to try all this. Anyway, finally happy with it.

Works well!
This 12th Gen N300 version performs well. Heatsink warm with light use, and only gets hot with heavy processor use. Using bluetooth and both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi for connectivity.

Lovely neat system, seems well made, ran hot as supplied but easily fixed
The Minix Z100 is a really well put together box, surprisingly dense and with a good selection of ports. I bought the 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD discounted to a very reasonable £190. The intention is to use it to run steamed TV such as BBC iplayer and it seems to do that very well. As delivered the box ran quite hot so looking online I found that you can throttle the thermal envelope that the Intel N100 runs within that and updating to the latest (181) firmware seems to have really helped, without hampering the performance. It now runs around 40C as a media player. If you want to do the same then look online for details of the P1 and P2 settings in the BIOS and the CTRL F1 keystroke to gain access, be careful when changing things!

Been running flawlessly 24/7 for quite a while now as a media server connected to a USB enclosure.

Sweet PC
This mini PC has to be the best there is at the moment (N300 version). I got mine a lot cheaper so it is worth waiting for a limited time deal. I use this for menial tasks but it is quite powerful. I dug out some old games from 10 years ago and it plays them just like the old days except back then the screen wasn't as wide.

Great Value Fanless Mini PC. I was going to buy either Asus PN-42 or MSI Cubi fanless with same CPU. I am glad I bought this one because it is all metal and do not getting extremely hot. Two other mini pcs boxes are made of plastic with internal heatsink. Minix Z100 has even bottom plate as radiator taking heat away from main board components. There is few reviews in detail on YouTube. This is third device by Minix that I purchased over the years. I am connecting to it some external storage drives. It is playing smooth 4 K video files and I tried to play 8K YouTube video and was playing smoothly no problem. For sure this is not gaming pc but for general use and media playing this is perfect solution. You don't need I7 or I5 processor to play hi res music and UHD Video. This low power consuming pc is fantastic !
