I got it for my 5yr old. She loves it. She can call her grandparents anytime. She uses the alarms to stay on schedule. The tracking/gps feature gives us peace of mind know exactly where she is. If she has an emergency she can easily contact 911. The phone plans are affordable and the watch has a great battery life. The only draw back is texting is limited and the receiver has the have the app. Also, School mode block all calls and text instead of just being on silent. I still am very happy with my purchase and would recommend.

UPDATE-- I take back what I said about this watch. There are WAYYYY too many bugs to sort out. The first watch went through a period of 'No SIM' and bad functionality, which resulted in my getting another through warranty. Now the battery can't hold a charge and the tracking function works when it feels like working. Also, I send messages and my kid doesn't receive them, the school mode doesn't turn off when it's supposed to which means at times, the emergency button needs to be used to get in contact with me. It was nice while it lasted, but I'm tired of fighting. We had this not even two years. My kid is not ready for a traditional phone yet, so this is good in regards to learning more about responsibility. Pro: You can contact them. The watch and app are made so it is completely parent controlled. Con: The tracking works, but there are bugs to work out. Live tracking so far does not really work. I gave it a try as my kid rode home on the bus from school. It did not update.

Great way to be in touch with your kid. I got this because to be less concerned about where my daughter is and in case I need to talk to her. It is “closed” to message and call only the people I added in the app. The notifications I get on my phone are very useful. I also have access to her location and even set a safety zone where I get notifications when she in or out of that zone. Everything is working smooth and for now I am very happy with my decision to buy one. Setting up is where I would say that I had somewhat of a set back because when I was doing the first configuration I put my phone number instead of the number that was created for the watch. You just have to be a little patient because it might take about 20 min for the text to come with the number you will get for the watch. Otherwise it was fairly simple to set up.

The description for this product says "The device can receive texts." This is NOT true - it can only receive messages sent via the Xplora application. Voice messages are similarly transmitted only via the app. Effectively, communication is only with Mom and Dad, except for live calls with approved numbers, which mysteriously don't connect about 90% of the time when they are outbound. ADDITIONALLY, for the little bit of communication that can happen, messages (again...these are via the app) are regularly delayed by 20-45 minutes. It is impossible to communicate in a reliably timely way. The minimum size of the "Safety Zones" is so big that the entire neighborhood is enveloped by them, making them virtually non-functional unless your kid's school and each of their friends is very far apart. The GPS tool frequently does not work. We finally figured out that a reboot of the watch tends to fix it, but there is no alert that the GPS is not working, so if your kid isn't with you when you discover it, you have no idea where they are at until your "message" to reboot the phone eventually gets to them. Complete waste of money.

The device is comparable to similar kids watches on the market. We experienced issues with the GPS lagging and the wristband breaking but Xplora customer care was great in helping to resolve those issues. I highly recommend the switch to a more secure and comfortable stretchy fabric wristband.

This is such a genius idea!!! so safe and reliable!!! I love knowing our daughter can have a watch that won’t fall off that she can keep with her and reach out to us anytime with any emergency! This watch is fantastic. It has so many cool features to get your kids off the couch, and I have some fun. You can control who they call and who they connect to. It is fantastic. As a mom of 8 I honed think this is such a perfect idea. We tested it out a few times when she went on her field trip. She was able to text us and give us updates throughout the whole experience. She even took photos with her watch. This is a must have for any parent!!! Phones get lost you have to put them down they get in trouble they’re not allowed to have them. The teachers did not even mind her having this watch at all. They thought it was a great idea.

A subscription is required of a minimum of 12 months lowest price is $9.99 a month. Overall great watch to get your kids used to a watch and the functions they have access to.

Ist die zweite Xplora Uhr für meinen Sohn. Des öfteren kann ich ihn nicht erreichen oder er mich anrufen...Die Lösung ist ein Neustart. Manchmal leider täglich. Miserabler Empfang... Leider keine Option um Voice over Wifi zu aktivieren. Und seit gestern startet die Uhr nicht mehr. Auf den Ladesockel gelegt...zeigt 100% Batterie an... Trotzdem lässt sich diese nicht starten. Werde später den Beitrag nochmals aktualisieren, sowie ich mit dem Kundenservice durch bin. - - - - - Update vom 27.03.2025 Der Kundenservice hat sich am gleichen Tag gemeldet. Die wollten die Rechnung sowie ein Bild der Uhr sehen ...habe auch ein kleines Video gemacht... Die haben mir daraufhin einen Tausch gegen eine neue Uhr angeboten. Ich konnte nicht sofort antworten, aber kurz darauf kam letzte Woche das Paket per UPS an. Die Uhr funktioniert bis heute problemlos, mein Sohn ist happy und meine Frau ist auch zufrieden. Danke für den schnellen Ersatz. Die Option Voice over Wifi, muss ich wohl beim Provider anfragen...hat mir zumindest ein Kollege geraten. GVLG Axel

Ich bin wirklich begeistert von der Xplora X6! 🙌 Die Einrichtung war super einfach und ging schnell – perfekt, wenn man nicht lange herumprobieren möchte. Besonders gefällt mir das moderne Design und dass die Uhr sehr robust wirkt, ideal für Kinder im Alltag. Die Ortungsfunktion funktioniert zuverlässig, sodass ich jederzeit weiß, wo mein Kind ist – das gibt mir ein richtig gutes Gefühl von Sicherheit. Auch die Anruffunktion ist klar und stabil, was für uns ein großer Pluspunkt ist. Ein weiteres Highlight ist die Schulmodus-Funktion – so bleibt die Uhr während der Schulzeit ruhig und lenkt nicht ab. Gleichzeitig motiviert das integrierte Aktivitätssystem mein Kind, sich mehr zu bewegen – eine tolle Kombination aus Sicherheit und Spaß! So the watch did not work. I contacted Xplora customer service. They replied within 30 minutes after which they asked me to video the issue and provide some info. I did and They replied quickly, again, to indicate they will send me a replacement watch within 10 business days. I sent the request January 8th. Just received the watch and we are Jan 22nd. All good except they sent it through Shopify which made me pay $23 in tax and handling fees. So be aware. Did not need to complain to the company. They acted as soon as I posted the comment here and offered to issue a refund. As for the watch, it is worth every penny. ONE MORE THING : All you need is a basic phone sim card. I shopped all over the place and no phone company seemed to think their sim card will work on the phone. In the end, we thought to use my husband's Freedom sim card.. and it works perfectly. My son loves it. Full mark for the product and the customer service.

Ho aspettato un po' prima di scrivere una recensione , lo sto provando da un paio di mesi , devo dire che è un ottimo compromesso tra dare un telefonino ed avere un telefonino per la mia bimba di 10 anni, lo utilizza giornalmente, quando ha necessità può chiamare, inviare messaggi, e cosa fondamentale con il GPS integrato , tramite la sua applicazione possiamo sapere dove si trova e tutto quello che fa.. è un buon strumento di controllo e sicurezza. Di buono è che può fare solo telefonate con i numeri memorizzati e se uno sconosciuto chiama, il messaggio arriva al genitore e non all'orologio , da migliorare sui messaggi si possono fare solo vocali e mandare scritti pre impoststi, emoticon, foto , non si può scrivere un testo , ma per il resto va benissimo. Conclusione voto cinque stelle.

Acquistato come regalo per mio figlio, lo Smartwatch si presenta in una bella confezione rigida ed accurata, completa di tutti gli accessori ed un paio di cover/anelli colorati per personalizzarlo. Dopo una prima configurazione iniziale attraverso l'app (molto completa) lo Smartwatch ha fatto un paio di aggiornamenti automatici via wifi (solo wifi) e sono iniziati i problemi: esiste una lista di compatibilità SIM testate che io ho scoperto soltanto dopo aver acquistato una SIM Ho. che naturalmente NON funziona in quanto non testata da loro; a quanto pare niente TIM, niente Vodafone, niente PosteMobile in quanto testate (da loro) e NON funzionanti. Ok, ho acquistato una nuova SIM Iliad con piano base (lo Smartwatch dovrebbe consumare mediamente 100/150 Mb/mese e per le chiamate vedete voi) et voilà........ tutto perfettamente funzionante !!!!!!!! lo Smartwatch ha una buona accuratezza GPS e si aggiorna di frequente, invia/riceve chiamate ai contatti memorizzati (anche solo vibrazione), ma non ha funzione SMS: esiste un sistema di messaggistica immediata all'interno dell'app che vi permetterà di comunicare dal vs Smartphone con lo Smartwatch e viceversa. Giudizio complessivo molto buono, forse un po' ingombrante ma ha bisogno di spazio per la batteria, ci sono diverse app (calcolatrice - sveglia - timer - meteo - foto/video - ecc.....) che funzionano tutte molto bene a patto di non avere i miei ditoni grassi ma di usare quelli di un bambino. Consiglio finale: prima di acquistare la SIM con un piano chiamate/dati verificatene la compatibilità per non ritrovarvi (come me.....) con 8 SIM intestate e da chiudere. AGGIORNAMENTO: il primo smartwatch acquistato ha smesso di leggere la SIM dopo qualche mese ed è stato restituito (grazie AMAZON !!!!!!!!) acquistato un secondo smartwatch uguale e dopo qualche mese non si ricarica più né con caricabatteria originale né con compatibile. quando collegato prova ad avviarsi ma poco dopo si spegne e così continua in loop. anche questo smartwatch restituito (grazie AMAZON !!!!!!!!) a questo punto cambio articolo, non mi fido più..... inoltre assistenza XPlora INESISTENTE !!!!!!!!!!
