This definitely helps us be mindful of getting veggie scraps, eggshells and coffee grounds sorted immediately, without the smelly, unsightly look of a typical compost pail . We still use plastic bags to collect it all in though, but it's just more functional. At some point the materials at the stop will get dirty, moldy, etc so we'll likely have to buy replacements for that, but this has served us best as the first step in collecting and disposing of organic waste. Make sure you have a dedicated drop off site, as this is not for long term/full composting. Use it diligently and you'll find your trash bags are at least 50% less full by trash day, the impact is real.

This product is awesome. We love being able to compost and have a bin that look nice aesthetically. It came with two filters and is easily removable and replaceable. Make sure you wash them at least once a month and change them out. There is no smell, unless you go longer than a month or have extra stinky foods (fish, eggs, etc). Other than that it wonderful, easy to clean, and has held up well.

I bought this in November 2020 as a little compost bin on our kitchen counter. It looks good, works well, nice size and the handle is great for taking a walk to the compost piles to add our scraps. Then last week, after returning from a trip to the compost pile, this bin just split all the way down the side. We didn’t drop it, aren’t rough with it, we live in a kid free house and take care if our home and things. Even though we have had this for 18 months, 6 of those we were traveling so never even used. It hasn’t been exposed to extreme temps, we have not put in dishwasher. So we are stumped by how this happened after placing it on the kitchen counter! Expect it’s out of warranty now. And I would buy another one, but it’s quite a bit more expensive now and I’m second guessing spending $46 to replace it. I love the bamboo and it suits our eco style home well. But to break like that - with no misuse - just seemed so bizarre. Maybe this was random and we got unlucky… I should probably check other reviews to see if this is an isolated incident. But I do hope the seller reads these reviews so they are aware. I will also reach out direct. But like I said. Would be surprised if it was still covered under some kind of warranty after 1.5 years.

The aesthetic of this bin stood out well beyond all the other indoor composter food compost bins I've found online. The color was also a key component to the decision and design. It's also great because it's made of bamboo. This bin is heavier than expected too. It's solid not thin or wimpy, so I have the impression it will hold up over time. Bonus: This comes with two charcoal filters. One installed already and one packaged in the box for a replacement. I had no idea two were included, so the overall price was really not as high as I originally thought. I'll write a follow up in a few months if there is a negative change to how the bin functions, otherwise use this review as a positive in that area too. UPDATE: While I still like the Bamboozle Food Composter a lot the handle has given me two (two different occasions) splinters. They clearly did not sand or produce the finish of the handle correctly. As others have pointed out it is attached to the composter in a cheap manner too. While it has not come off yet, I expect in a year that it will. UPDATE: Dropped once on dirt as I filled our compost. It cracked wide open just like all the other images buyers posted. Do not waste your money.

I so wanted to like this product. It is a good size, holds in odors, and looks nice on a counter, but that is where it ends. It isn’t as well made as advertised. After only four months, the two-part screw assembly holding the handle to the bin repeatedly worked loose. After losing one of the screws I ended up wiring the handle to the bin. That has worked, but now small cracks are developing on the bin itself.

A screw that holds the handle in place fell out and disappeared into our compost a couple of weeks after buying this bin. I’ve tried several times to get a replacement screw with no luck. They have a useless bot on their website and no customer service follow up. So my attempts at being ‘green’ have resulted in another bad product going into landfill. Do not recommend.

Bin arrived without the reusable liner pictured in the product images. Amazon sells two versions of the Bamboozle composter, one priced at $70-ish with no images of the liner, and the second - this one, priced higher at $90 - with the liner shown. No where does the listing mention that the pictured liner was not included, and I’m not sure what I paid a premium for. Otherwise, it’s pretty for a compost bin, but not worth the cost.

Do not tap with a spoon to put compost in bin it will break ! We now have ours taped together! A lot of money to spend when it broke so easily! We had our first one for years and never had an issue.

I've bought this one a couple of times and love it. It's stylish and quite sturdy but the carbon filter doesn't stay in the lid for long if that matters to you. Best to line it with a sheet of paper towel first so the compost comes out easily.
