I'll say it, Silent Hill 2: Remake is the best horror game in years. It's terrifying, punishing, and an absolutely nail-biting experience pristinely paced to wring every chill and cry from the player it can. Bloober absolutely excelled in creating a masterpiece from a masterpiece, learning from the wonderful work of Team Silent while coding in their own DNA to create an instant modern classic. From the foreboding fog to the crunchy combat, Silent Hill fans the world over should rejoice because the series is back and back with a voracious vengeance. It's gorgeous and narratively timeless, showing an incredibly raw look at mental health issues that, while not the most hopeful, contain painful lessons with uncomfortable truths that might just leave you with a level of compassion to your fellow man you otherwise wouldn't have experienced. And all from a video game...take that naysayers.

Was a massive fan back in the day so was very excited about this remake. It hasn’t disappointed at all!! Graphics are incredible! Very tense, creepy and ignites the same anxiety it did over 20 years ago!

I feel a bit disappointed, I purchased this thinking it was the region 1 game of Silent Hill 2, the case arrived broken and for how much this was, I could’ve got it for £30. I am annoyed that I’ve paid almost another £20 for the uk version of the game that I could’ve gotten for £30. The picture is also misleading.

After reading all the reviews I thought this game was going to be amazing. I never played the original version so cannot compare to that. However, what I can say is the game is good but not as good as others have made it out. The graphics are pretty good but not great. The game and gameplay is very similar to Resident Evil. It's enjoyable but I just don't think it's that special.

Attualmente sono a circa metà della prima run. Il gioco è fenomenale, perfetto come primo approccio alla saga di Silent Hill e probabilmente il miglior gioco horror ad oggi in commercio. Il gioco è arrivato nella versione US, ma multilingua (anche se so indicati come sottotitoli solo Francese, Spagnolo e Tedesco). Consigliatissimo.

This is a remake of one of the best games of all time, and it holds up pretty well. If you're into this genre at all then it is an easy recommendation.

Es un gran juego y un gran remake. Porque una cosa que no aclaran, es que es un remake de Silent Hill 2 del año 2001. El punto es que es un gran remake, tiene unos gráficos muy impresionantes y una ambientación igual de increíble. Mantuvo absolutamente toda la esencia terrorífica, y al mismo tiempo deprimente del original del original. Incluso creí leer por ahí que al hacerlo, al remake le agregaron 10 horas más a la historia. Puedo decir que vine a asustarme y terminé deprimido porque la historia y la ambientación siendo honestos transmiten lo que realmente lo que silent hill quiere transmitir y pues es una depresión enorme de parte del personaje. Es muy buen juego, tiene unos gráficos impresionantes en el Unreal5 (creo) y muy detallado y ya que es un juego bastante deprimente Las expresiones de la cara de James, se ven muy realistas. Es un juego 100% recomendado para definitivamente no es para niños.
