Game changer as a marinade
I followed some Youtube videos for a koji marinated prime rib, and boy did it change the game. I marinated it overnight and it really brought out a lot of umami flavor to the beef, and I felt it tenderized the meat as well. Will try again with other meats. It is a little expensive and I later realized my local Japanese market sells it for about 1/2 the price. BUT for people who do not have that option, I think it's great to be able to find it on Amazon!

Makes your beef delicious
Makes your beef even more delicious and tender. WOW- every time I use this, my family comments on how tender and delicious the beef is. I normally grill NY Strip, so it is already good- but this throws it over the top. I use this as a marinade in addition to other spices, etc.

Amazing Umami!
This was so yummy! I wish I knew about this before. Makes a great marinade for flank steak or chicken. Just rub it on and let it sit for 4 hours or more.

Works fine but a little pricey. Found a recipe where I made my own in a week at much lower cost.

これと醤油少々だけでたいてい美味しく味付けできます。 色々な塩麹を使いましたが、これ以外に使えなくなって大きいサイズでリピです。
