Very quiet in small, confined areas
I found this compressor to be ultra quiet, very portable, exactly what I was looking for. I'm using it in a small 5x10 enclosed trailer that I use as a knife. Sharpening business works awesome, highly recommend.

I have had this compressor for 2 years. It is great. I had a pancake compressor; they are sooo loud yuu can't use them. This is pretty quiet with lots of power. Not too heavy and has wheels. I would buy again tomorrow.

Used for tire inflation. Portable, and performance as advertised
I bought this for tire inflation. (It also has other applications, unlike most tire inflators.) Previously, I had a very noisy inflator that required me to use earplugs. This is much quieter. I pressurize the tank, disconnect the compressor from the wall outlet, and carry it to one end of the car. The included hose can reach all four tires. The full tank has enough compressed air to top up the pressure on all tires. (The compressor would need to run for filling four completely flat tires.) The weight of the unit is not a problem for an average adult male, but a 110 lb woman might find it inconveniently heavy. Without any use, I observed a slight drop in tank pressure after 15 minutes of inactivity, but this isn't significant considering the time it takes to adjust the tire pressures. The configuration of the carrying handle affords some protection of the manifold from accidental bumps. The 1-gallon unit is appropriate for small jobs where portability is important.
