I couldn't be happier! Smooth finish, edges neatly cut, & no nasty glue odour... They can be used front to back as the beech wood finish is present on both sides, and the back, a nice surprise, is perfect for 'shadow box' painting /crafts. Wonderful product!! I had been using another brand of wooden canvas for many years & had turned to my local carpenter as I wanted a smoother, less assorbant product but as Xmas approached he was too busy so I started hunting online & I came across 'daveliou'! I couldn't be happier! Smooth finish, edges neatly cut, & no nasty glue odour... They can be used front to back as the beech wood finish is present on both sides, and the back, a nice surprise, is perfect for 'shadow box' painting /crafts. My new collection will be exhibited on daveliou wood! Thanks guys.

Good smooth surface to create artwork.
Great for doing mixed media work on or alternatively working on watercolour paper first and sticking this onto the panel, works well either way.

The boards are sanded and ready for your primer/base coat of paint. This product worked perfectly with stencil vinyl. I prepared my project using my Cricut to cut the image on stencil vinyl (low adhesive vinyl), reverse weed & paint. The product can easily hang using Command Strips.

Yes, I paid more per board; but in comparison I have had no problems. The other boards by "J" company were ALL defective, so I sent them all back.... Almost $1 more per board, but worth it! 9/30/20 UPDATED: I used to be happy with the quality, so in a pinch I ordered more for a gallery shop: All have flaws, dark spots, chipping edges, lines through them. Because I was using mixed media & was covering them over, after I gessoed them, I simply adhered the background sheet over the surface. They are getting sloppy

I LOVE these panels. I’ve ordered them several times and am about to place another order. Super sturdy and well made. Easy to paint/collage on.
