OtterBox iPhone 16 Defender Series Case - Black

OtterBox does it again! High quality, well designed iPhone cover with amazing protection without extra thickness. I have used OtterBox cases for years, and truly love the Defender series. That extra layer of protection is great for accidental drops. Makes functionality easy, with great access to charging port and all buttons.

Fits perfectly and as always never have to worry about damage to phone with this case, love the real tree camo always well made and the graphic is awesome. I do recommend this case to anyone wanting true protection. I have always used the defender series for all my iPads and iPhones. It’s the best and most dependable cover to protect my devices from damage. I can’t tell you how many times in a year I drop my phone or it falls but year after year the phone still works the same. I will only have this brand and style. It’s a little heavier and no fancy colors or styles but it’s worth it for the price and protection of a $1500 phone. Besides I actually like and use the belt clip. I was never a fan of putting my phone in my purse or a pocket. It’s super accessible and I don’t have to carry it. I have used other brands but none match the protection of the defender series.

Excellent product they look great easy to install with clarity good wireless charging capabilities is great the value for the money well, it could be a little less expensive always That being said, I slammed my phone in the tailgate the other day and there’s nothing wrong with my phone so I’d say they work

This case has successfully protected my phone from its greatest threat: my two year old daughter. It has been dropped from the Sam’s club cart seat, thrown in tantrums, and shoved off every piece of furniture in our house. My only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because I find it bulky. It doesn’t fit in my pockets well but I’m assuming the bulk is required to keep the phone safe. Otherwise, it’s easy to put on, great quality, and the magnet on the back is super helpful!

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 7 Plus to an iPhone 16 Plus. My eight year-old iPhone 7 Plus is pristine because I have always kept it in an Otterbox Defender case; too bad Apple rendered it useless with software updates (but that's another story). Automatically bought this case for my new phone. It no longer comes with a holster, which I have always used, but they'll send you one for free if you request it on their web site. They needn't have bothered. As great as this case is (even though it no longer includes a screen protector), the holster is terrible. In all the years I carried the 7 Plus in its holster, I can't remember it ever popping out. This one does several times a day, and my phone falls to the ground. So far, no damage to the phone because the case itself is so good, but it's only a matter of time, especially considering how thin the bezel around the display is. I realize Otterbox has no control over Apple's goofy design decisions, like the way this phone is bristling with buttons they had to work around. But come on. Is this holster made by a completely different company? I'm disappointed to say the least, and I'm looking for an alternative. Interestingly enough, my iPhone 7 Plus Otterbox Defender holster seems to work better with this new phone than the one made for it. But if you don't use the holster, great case.

My granddaughter seemed very appreciative of the case that I purchased for her it certainly looks sturdy enough. She has not put it on yet but I think it'll be fine. Outterbix always makes a great product.

It’s a good case except the camera button being exposed. I had a case before this one and it was slippery so I dropped it a few times but screen protector never cracked, I purchased this one hoping if I dropped it my phone it would be more safe especially the screen from cracking.Well, because of the uncovered gap where the camera button it I have cracked my screen protector twice in 1 week when it fell out of my pocket in that exact spot. I like otter box but that is a flaw.

This is a great case. Sturdy, solid. It's difficult to get the phone out of the case because there a 3 layers to it and a 6 or 7? lock system on one of the layers but this is most likely part of the reason for it's sturdiness. It's slimmer than the case for the iphone 14 which is really nice. Contours are nice and it fits in my hand comfortably. A bit of a pain to open the cover for the charging portal but it make the case pretty indestructable and not much can penetrate it. I bought a new case, different brand and dropped it in the snow. Water got in and my first thought was, my Otterbox case would not have this problem. The only reason I changed from this is b/c I put my cards in a silicon case on the back of the phone and use it as my wallet. The case will not stick to the Otterbox. Would be great if Otterbox created a card holder version that is incorporated into its cover and I'd switch back immediately. Great case if you don't use it as a wallet.
