My First Book of Baby Signs Review: Perfect Gift – Accurate, Easy-to-Use Baby Sign Language Book! - I bought this baby sign language book as a gift for a new parent, and I couldn’t be happier with the choice! As a signer, I can confidently say this book is an amazing resource. The book is accurate in its depictions of signs, which is essential when teaching babies. As someone who signs, I appreciate how well the signs are presented. The illustrations are clear and easy to understand, and the descriptions of each sign are simple but accurate. The book makes it easy to ensure that you're teaching the signs correctly, which is so important when you want your baby to communicate effectively. One of the best things about this book is how easy it is to use. Each sign is broken down in a way that's simple to follow, with visual step-by-step instructions that guide you through the motions. The book is well-organized, and it’s perfect for busy parents who want to incorporate sign language into their daily routine without feeling overwhelmed. The signs included are practical, such as "milk," "more," "all done," and "please," making it easy to teach your baby signs that they'll actually use right away. And the results are truly amazing. Even before they can speak, babies can start communicating with signs. This book makes it possible to start teaching babies these basic signs from as early as a months old, helping to reduce frustration and enhance connection. Overall, this book is a fantastic gift for any parent looking to start their baby on the path of early communication. It’s accurate, easy to use, and empowers babies to communicate long before they develop the ability to speak. I highly recommend this book for new parents, caregivers, or anyone who wants to introduce their baby to the beautiful world of sign language. It’s a thoughtful and valuable gift that will make a real difference in both the parent-child bond and the baby’s ability to communicate effectively! Review: More than basic ASL books - I love this baby ASL book! The pictures are helpful and the explanations for each of the hand gestures are easy to understand. What really stands out to me about this book is that it has so many more signs than the very basic “more” or “hungry” that all the other books have. This book is really informative!

A quality book
A good way to learn signs that are relevant for small children! They are certainly inclusive with the illustrations and even have an index in the back with all the signs, the whole ASL alphabet, and how to sign numbers (which is not as straightforward as you may think).

This a such a great, factual resource for parents and infants
I love this book! We are a Ms. Rachel family and love that she incorporates baby signs into her shows, but I wanted something I could reference quickly and that my daughter could also see. I love that it shows you pictures and gives you a description. I would say this is perfect for caregivers to use with their older infants into toddlers. I wouldn’t expect my baby to pick up to the book and be able to sign, but with this and our consistency, I’m hoping it helps start to bridge the gap until she can communicate better. For reference, she’s 9 months old.

Well explained signs, easy to learn. Start early, keep up with it and baby will learn eventually
LOVE THIS! Cheapest Ive found anywhere over target, tiktok, etc. I thought it was gonna be difficult since its not showing you live but they explained exactly how to do things and position your hands super well!! You just have to constantly show baby the signs every time you talk about it and baby WILL eventually pick up on it, just give it some time. Good, basic words your child will use on an everyday basis, I recommend to get this and start early!

It's Decent, just falls short of my personal expectations
I love that this book has representation of different ethnicities. The pictures and explanations are clear on how to do the signs, which is another plus. My only disappointment is in the choice of the 40 signs displayed in this book for "essential signs" for baby. For example the 40 signs that are taught in this book are as follows; all done, baby, ball, banana, bath, bear, bed, book, car, cat, change, cold, cracker, daddy, dog, drink, eat, friend, Grandma, Grandpa, happy, hat, help, hot, hurt, I love you, light, love, milk, mommy, more, pacifier, play, please, potty, ready, shoes, thank you, up, and water. My problem is that I feel some of the words should have been replaced with commands like yes, no, thirsty, hungry, brother, sister, stop. This is just my personal opinion on what I personally was hoping to get from this book but it fell short on hitting the mark. I'm keeping the book because it's cheaper to keep her and I'll just pair with YouTube to learn more. All in all it's a decent book, just not what I expected.

Great teaching book for small children to learn to sign
Since my great grandson lives near his uncle who is deaf, I wanted him to learn sign language and this was appropriate for his age
