Professional feel for your phone camera, brilliant to use
I’ve been using the SnapGrip for a few weeks and it genuinely changes how I take photos. The grip feels natural in your hand and gives the phone the weight and balance of a camera. The shutter button is responsive, the magnetic attachment holds firmly, and I like that it can stand upright for group shots or FaceTime. The built-in battery gives my phone a helpful boost when I’m out. It looks clean and minimal, not bulky, and fits easily into a pocket or small bag. If you take a lot of pictures, travel, or just want more control when shooting, this makes a big difference. It feels like a thoughtful accessory designed by people who actually use their phones for photography.

I Thought This Was the Dumbest Accessory Ever… Until I Actually Used It
I’ll admit it—I always thought the ShiftCam SnapGrip was one of the dumbest accessories ever made. I’ve been shooting professionally for decades, using everything from DSLRs to cinema cameras, and I figured a “phone grip” was something for influencers, not working pros. Then reality hit me: on any given shoot—whether it’s a product session, a behind-the-scenes clip, or a quick podcast promo—about 20% of my content happens on my phone, often when I only have five minutes to grab a shot before the light changes or a guest walks in. So I borrowed a friend’s SnapGrip to see what the hype was about. Well, color me stupid—this thing rocks. The magnetic mount snaps on perfectly, the grip feels balanced and secure, and the built-in shutter button gives me proper camera-style control. It even doubles as a wireless charger and stand. After years of lugging gear, this little thing made my iPhone feel like a legit compact camera. If you shoot content for clients or social, or just want to level up your phone work—get one. I’m now actively pushing more iPhone use in my workflow because the quality is that good, and the SnapGrip makes it effortless. Bottom line: Don’t knock it till you try it—this accessory turns your phone into a pro-ready shooting tool.

Does what you expect
Purchased for a trip to test its potential for gifting, I have a lot of photographers in the family who have been using their phones more, so this was an experiment. On my Galaxy S24 Ultra with a dBrand grip case it attached really well, and after a few shake tests I feel confident in its ability to hold my phone. It wakes up and connects quickly, the battery charging is useful, and I like the ability for it to act as a stand. That being said, it's pretty pricey for what you're getting with some of the limited functionality. There isn't a way for it to open your camera app or adjust any settings, so it's just the shutter which is a little disappointing. Ultimately, it's a good-looking, convenient grip that fits in your daily carry and does what it sets out to do. Is it worth the full price? I don't know. If they can add the ability to zoom and open your camera app one-handed, I could probably recommend this.

Its okay but go for the cheaper options
Grading system disclaimer: 1 star: Does not do its job correctly and/or breaks too often to be worth it or useful. Wholeheartedly don't recommend purchasing 2 stars: Barely does its job correctly and/or breaks too often to be worth it or useful. There are some saving graces 3 stars: Does its job adequately and well. Didn't have any issues at all until at least a year after first using it. I will come back and amend a review if the item starts to fail sooner than it should 4 stars: Does its job well and even surprised me 5: Does its job exceptionally well and/or is more durable than what its price-point should suggest. Absolutely endorse this buy It does make shooting photos easier and more ergonomically pleasing but at a very uncompetitive price point. I would recommend the cheaper options. Also, the charging is great AT ALL. The connectivity is a huge con here. Does not stay connected very long and the process to reconnect is a pain. I tried competitors and they don't have that issue which makes me wonder. I can't insist enough that there are cheaper alternatives that do a better job in many ways.

Great idea...doesn't work.
Bought this back in March and tried it for a while, ended up in a drawer. I'm on a cruise trip now so I decided to give it another shot. The charger works OK, but when and IF I get it to pair with my iPhone 16, it works as long as I don't turn my phone off. If I turn off my phone for a few minutes then pull it our to take another picture, I have to pair it all over again. And pairing only works sometimes. Its a major hassle when I'm out on an excursion somewhere and want to take lots of photos/videos. It requires me to turn off the auto-lock on my phone and keep the phone on all day in order to keep the device paired. Who keeps their phone turned on constantly? Back in the drawer.

Solid, very easy to use!
Works as described. Very comfortable to use and it feels like you’re holding an actual camera. Bluetooth sync was easy and the ability to turn the charging feature on or off is a benefit. I use a “oh-snap” phone grip and the mag lock on this product holds the phone perfectly, even through the phone case. 👌🏾

Wildly under-rated, great device
I use a Nikon mirrorless camera but my wife prefers just using her phone for taking pictures. So I got this for my wife, she has an iPhone 16 Pro. She really likes this device. It attaches securely to the phone through her case and she can attach her magnetic wallet to the grip too. Another big advantage is that it is also a battery that charges her phone. She also likes the functionality of the grip holding the phone upright on the table in front of her. The build quality is very good and feels great in her hands. I have even used it a couple of times to take quick snapshots and the shutter release feels natural in our hands. This is a really good design and a great value for the money for everything this brings to the package.

Works very well. First bought a cheaper copy. Same grip but the bluetouth connection is far better on thisone.

The MagSafe is very reliable. The feeling of hand grip may not be perfect but definitely better than none. In general I like it and will try to use it for taking photos as long as possible :)

It’s a well made product and the only one you can use on an iPhone 16 pro and pro max. The mag grip is strong on a decent mag case. Bluetooth connects fast and is stable . I’ve shot both in portrait and landscape , much easier with the grip fitted. Annoyingly if you reconnect the grip it won’t connect Bluetooth you have to forget , turn off and on BT and try again. It’s worth the money, no shutter lag and no more dropping the phone . Great product for me as a photographer.
