This is one of the most customizable shot timers I’ve used, especially at this price point. The Bluetooth integration and companion app are what really set it apart. Being able to control the timer from your phone, adjust settings, and record video with shot data overlaid in real time is a standout feature. It makes reviewing sessions much easier and adds a level of feedback that most timers don’t offer. The timer itself is simple and intuitive to use. The display is clear and easy to read, and the controls are straightforward without a steep learning curve. The basic functions are super easy while there is a slight learning curve to advanced features. The sensor has been reliable across different uses, including lower sound inputs, and does a good job filtering out background noise. That’s a big advantage if you’re using it in a busy environment. Battery life has been excellent so far. It lasts through multiple sessions without needing a recharge, and the USB-C charging is convenient. Build quality feels solid, and the included mounting options make it easy to attach to a belt or clip onto gear depending on how you’re using it. Overall, this is a great value if you want a shot timer with advanced features without spending significantly more. The app integration alone makes it worth considering. Your friends will want you to time & film them all the time!!

I had been using some of the older and larger shot timers that have been on the market for many years, but I decided on the SG Timer GO for its smaller form factor that still features a large display. The buzzer is very loud and the sound sensor/microphone is very sensitive and can be used for dry fire practice as well as live fire. The display is excellent for readability and being back-lit, it is easy to read in any lighting condition. Construction is solid, the two buttons (start/stop and a mode change button) are easy to use and work well to navigate the SG Timer Go's various operating modes. 3 modes come pre-programmed (Live Fire, .22 and Airsoft/Dry Fire) which can be modified to your specific requirements via the SGT Smart Phone App which pairs with the timer via bluetooth. Using the associated SG Timer smart phone application you'll also be able to access custom features/drills, score matches, record video that overlays the times of any shots detected in the video, edit or add additional operating modes and change parameters like shot detection sensitivity, echo suppression, buzzer volume, buzzer delay, number of shots in a string, number of consecutive strings, etc. Check the manufacturer's web site for a great series of instructional videos on all of the SG Timer Go's various features. One very cool way to use the smartphone app (iOS and Android versions available, I've only used the iOS version so can't comment on the Android version specifically) is that you can use your smart phone as a remote control for the SG Timer Go as long as you're within Bluetooth range and any shots detected will show simultaneously on the timer itself as well is within the app. Very handy. Excellent device with very powerful capabilities in a compact form factor. A really good value.

This shooting timer is incredible!! I pretty much does everything you can think of (and more). Considering the quality of this timer, it’s definitely worth the price. Very easy to use and set up. You can set up drills by downloading the app to your phone. You can also use this timer independently of the app as well but the app gives you many more options. You can also set loudness and sensitivity on the app. Great for dry fire practice. This is the only timer I know of that allows you to adjust the volume of the beep so you don’t disturb the household during dry fire practice. Seems very durable and well made. Also has a backlight and is rechargeable. On a scale of 1 to 10 I’d rate this timer 100!!

This timer is amazing. I spent a lot of time researching timers before making this purchase. I really wanted to purchase the SG Timer II but pricewise it was a little more than I wanted to spend at the time. The SG Timer GO uses the same "Drills" app as the SG Timer II which allows you to create custom drills and competition stages on your phone and upload them to the timer. As a firearms instructor this comes in very handy when designing drills to help students improve. I also love the fact that it connects with my Axil earbuds so I can hear the commands and tones very clearly. If you're looking for an easy to operate, reasonably priced timer that covers all the bases, this is it.

Pros: The timer works well in many different configurations: dry fire, shooting drills, and just practice shots. You can adjust the sensitivity of the sensor so it is super sensitive for dry fire, or reduce the sensitivity enough so that it works even indoors with someone else shooting in the next lane. It has very simple controls that with 10 seconds of instruction anyone can use. The information it displays on the screen is easily understandable, and allows you to quickly understand vital information about your shooting string. The battery also lasts a long time, I have used it for multiple USPSA shooting sessions tracking thousands of rounds through it on a single charge, and on the loudest beeper setting. Cons: It heavily relies on the app to adjust any settings. Although it is very simple, it comes at the cost of not being able to adjust anything on the timer itself without your phone. Although this works well, if your phone has problems, or the company stops supporting the app, you might be stranded with a timer that cannot be changed. Although the company is doing well right now, if the company ever disappears and you can't get the app, you will be straight out of luck. The app also is not intuitive for "RO" setting, and requires a lot of forum searching and tinkering to get it work properly. For example. if you are trying to adjust the sensitivity in the "RO" configuration, there is no direct settings button in the app, you need to go a roundabout way to update it by selecting a user and then update their shooting settings to get the timer to update. TLDR: It is a great physical timer held back by a potentially glitchy and unintuitive app. Physical Timer: 5/5 App: 3/5 Overall: 4/5

This is my favorite shot timer. Setting it up for different drills via the app is so easy to understand and get rolling. You will be using your phone with this shot timer but that is not an issue as I would be logging in my phone if it didn't already do that for me. I ran it today with 9mm and 22LR at an indoor range and there was no ghost shots from echo and it ran perfectly. No extra cost for the app like other bluetooth shot timers, and it just syncs every time so far without fail. The large screen is easy to read from the belt. It has a nice loud beep and it is rechargeable via usb-c, not the fake USB-C thats really USB 5v, but actual USB-C. The downsides, the lil velcro belt loop is really kinda janky and the documentation is a bit lacking about the different belt options, i only figured out why there was a piece of velcro in the box because of the picture on the side. This would benefit greatly from a unboxing video to show people what everything is.

Does exactly what I need it to. Nice product for about a third of the price of what some of these other companies charge. Works well with dry fire in the living room, and live fire at the range.
