Nice Grow Box Kit for a Simple Home Garden
Sometimes you need a specific sized grow box that is both narrow and long at the same time. In this case I needed an 8 foot long grow box, that was 2 feet wide and a foot tall to sit next to a 4 foot wide one that I already had that is the same style, width and height. The 8' version made by Land Guard fit the bill. It is not too surprising since they also made the 4 foot wide one. This is not the most heavy duty grow box that you will ever find, but it is a deal that is had to beat for a grow box kit of this size. Assembly instructions are not great, but if you are in any way mechanically inclined assembly is fairly simple. I am sure the engineer that created the instructions felt they were pretty straight forward, but I am sure a lot of people will find them confusing. It is amazing that this grow box kit shows up in 12" x12" x 4" box that includes all of the pieces and assembly hardware. I seriously thought they shipped wrong kit. Overall it fits my needs and looks nice, what more could you ask for?

Excellent Return on Value!
These raised beds are really great. I wish they were taller, but that's my fault. I didn't realize how much room you really need to grow food! They are fantastic and hold up well in the weather. I've got my garlic in them right now and over the summer they held tomatoes. The tomatoes did really well but could have used a little more soil for deeper planting. Overall, excellent, easy to assemble and well worth the money.

Good product for home gardens
I recently Ordered two of the Land Guard 8ft Galvanized Raised Garden Beds. Overall I’m pleased with the purchase as these are #6 and #7 of the total number I’ve purchased. They are easy to assemble and hold up quite well in my garden. However, on completion of the last garden bed I came up short on the support rods. Two of the rods are missing and one has no threaded end on one end of the rod making it unusable. Perhaps Land Guard can send me a set of replacement rods? Even still I will continue to use them as is by replacing the rods with nuts and bolts as they did provide extras. Additionally, two rods were bent but still usable. The product deserves a 5 star rating but due to the missing rods I can’t give it more than 4 stars.

Very good easy planters
Great size planters for the price and assembly was a snap and holds together great. If anyone is wondering on how much soil you’ll need. I got two of the 8 footers and filled the base with wood and branches. Took a yard of soil, about a 1000lbs ish.

Love Our Raised Bed !
We Love It ! It came neatly packaged. I put ours together in our Living Room. I laid out all the pieces , started with the curved pieces then added the straight pieces , hand tight only , added the cross supports as I went. Once everything was together I tightened all screws and nuts with my Screw Gun and 2 wrenches. Once tight it's really sturdy , I picked it up from the middle and carried it around to the back yard , Leveled it and filled with Garden Soil. I purchased my Soil in bulk (Less Expensive) it took about 3/4 of a Cubic Yard to fill it. Just waiting on this Hopefully last Cold Snap to move out !

good raised bed option. timely to put together
This was harder to put together than I thought, just because it had a lot of bolts. But it is a good raised bed option, and I am very happy with it. I have filled it with my dirt and am ready to plant. It is structurally soun,d and it was easy to move. I would buy it again, just have to plan for more time to put it together.

No directions, missing parts.
I must have misread the description because I thought this was 2 feet high, but it's only 1'. I had wanted it to help keep rabbits out of my green beans, but this isn't going to be high enough to do that. It's also not the most attractive planter, but should serve its purpose now that it's finally put together. The putting together was harder than it needed to be because there are virtually not directions. What the manufacturer seems to think should pass for directions is a printed sheet of paper listing the parts and a drawing of the planter with the parts labeled. Parts were another problem. Mine came with one defective bolt, it had no drive on the top so there was no way to insert a screwdriver in it to screw it in. As it turns out, I didn't need that bolt because I was also missing several of the cross supports. I ended up using the cross supports on the top and then only had 3 cross supports for the bottom. Since the supports come in two pieces, that means I was missing FOUR of these. How does it happen then this was packaged with four missing pieces? They were tied together in two bundles. with plastic ties, so they are likely made in bunches of a certain amount in each bunch, (should have been ten in each bunch) and the ties on mine were tight with no room for any more, so this was made this way at the factory. They didn't accidentally fall out. That would have been obvious as the ties would have been loose if some of them had fallen out. Perhaps the manufacturer should include a couple extra parts to accommodate for the odd defective part, and have some quality control so that whoever is putting the bunches of dividers together, counts them properly. I have the planter put together now and it took much longer than it should have, because of the lack of directions and missing and faulty parts. It is not as stable as it should be because of the missing parts, so time will tell how long it will hold together.

The directions are poor but common sense will finish it. Seems to be fairly manufactured and decent gauge considering the price. Design is good. We bought two and are doing away with two ends and joining the two into one for our space. Also we sprayed painted the bolt ends in black so they are hidden, just a different look that we liked better. Great value

Putting this garden bed together is really a two man job and you should use tools. None are provided so I just put it together with my hands (be sure to wear gloves when handling the metal pieces!) Took several hours to assemble alone but one I got it all ready it holds soil nicely and looks great! I hope to have many years of use from this!

Overall this is very good for the price, Assembly is a lot of work, it comes in 12 x 12 box, each piece must be assembled so it was a lot of work. Once its today it does the job
