Easy low mess kid project.
We loved this product. Our 6 year old was able to create and play with this with very little help from us. Highly recommended.

Fun for kids!
This product was perfect for my 11-year-old daughter and her friends to do independently. They enjoyed the final product. Fun activity good materials easy to follow instructions..

Everything leaks.
I was pretty upset my daughter got it from “Santa” and wasn’t able to use it because everything had leaked out , the scents the colorings and the lip gloss base. I can imagine it would have be a lot of fun to make your own as long as it doesn’t leak out before you get to use it .

Better for older kids
Cute kit, great selection, age range is a bit off. It was very difficult for a kid on the younger end of the age range.

More adult assistance needed than expected
While the product could be fun for someone a bit older I would not recommend for ages closer to the 6+ recommendation. It involves using boiling water to melt the ingredients. The adults were more involved in this project than expected. The colors did not seem to mix well. Much more adult hands on than expected.

Great lip balm set
This lip balm set is awesome. It's easy to use, instructions are clear, and the end result of the lip balms is great for a kit for kids! It'd make a great gift.

Fun gift, with some supervision!
Our daughter has been rather obsessed with lip balm, so this was a great way to make it a little more science-y and turn it into an activity! This definitely requires some supervision especially with younger kids. For the advertised price at the time of the review (high $teens), it's worth it!
