This worked the best of all the things I tried. Easy on but dog could not take off. My dog had a wound that would not heal because he would chew through dressings or manage to get out of other sleeve I bought. Wish I had this from the beginning. His tail would have healed so much faster!

I read the negative reviews but still decided to give this a try since I'm willing to try anything. My dog has "happy tail" and got a cut on the tip. Unfortunately it will not heal because she's constantly hitting it on things. We try to keep it wrapped but her constantly wagging tail throws off the bandages all the time. I was hopeful this would help keep her tail covered but the wagging almost immediately made it twisted and tight on her. It also didn't come with any instructions, although it wasn't too hard to figure out. Unfortunately, this wasn't our cure.

This product would be great if it would stay on when your dog has "happy tail". My dog was easily able to remove it, and the material is not sturdy at all. It also caused a rash due to the rubbing of the strap under the belly.

Could have been made stronger

Had to do some modifications it to make up for things like buttons quickly falling off. But once we did our thing, it worked great for my doggo. He's had "happy tail syndrome" before (he wags his tail nearly constantly, even in his sleep, and it whacks things HARD!) and his healing time was significantly reduced by using this product. I tried others and this seemed like the most comfortable to him. It also prevents infection from wrapping the tip and not changing the wound dressing often enough. Hypothetically speaking....

Too big, tail just slides out of it and does not hook up on the side like it showes it hangs down to the floor.

We have a Great Dane and it she has happy tail and injured the end of her tail. This has helped contain the tail, sadly only after having it for a few days we will probably throw it away because it isn’t very durable. It is affordable, it fits on the tail fine; my only major negative criticism is durability and also how it harnesses to the dog it doesn’t stay very well because it only attaches around the neck and around the waist although I wouldn’t say it doesn’t have value. I would recommend it more for dogs with tails that aren’t crazy strong because our dog can still wag her tail with it on we mainly have used it to deter her from licking it immediately because she has been licking her tail causing major issues. I did order another item from a direct website because Amazon although they sale through Amazon it was going to take two weeks to get but direct was less than a week from happytailsaver.com
