I've been using a these flashlights for a couple of years and I don't think I've ever had to replace the battery. It comes with one D battery inside, all you have to do is remove the plastic cover from one end of the battery and you're good to go. Plenty bright, lightweight, good solid switch that works very well and because it uses a LED bulb, the battery will literally last forever. I say lightweight, mostly because it only uses one D battery, I thought it needed a battery because it wasn't working when it arrived. Ran around the house to find a battery only to realize it had one inside the whole time. i just needed to remove the protection cover so the battery wouldn't discharge during handling.

I really like this flashlight. While it's lightweight, it takes a "D" battery, which adds a nice little bit of weight to it. Really, really bright light. Turns on and off easily. I miss one thing these flashlights used to have.....a magnet on the side. It was great for hanging it on the side of the fridge or on the metal cabinet in the shed. So, I really like it....but I miss that magnet.

Great little battery that is adequate for everyday home use. Feels light in the hand, comes with a battery and produces a nice bright beam - a very uncomplicated and fun tool to use. Will purchase another one soon.

It's not a sturdy aluminum body, but the plastic is sturdy enough for accidental drops. LED lamp so the battery life would be considerable using a D-cell battery. I like that it is a single D-cell light, not multiple batteries needed and D-cell batteries are much MUCH less likely to corrode over time like smaller AA and AAA batteries do all the time. Really great value for the money, I have 4 of these as backups for emergencies and it cost me barely 20 bucks.

The flashlight works fine, but I'd expect this quality from a dollar store flashlight. $12 is way too much. I see the price has dropped to around $9, which is more reasonable for having a dollar store flashlight delivered to your house in a day or two, but other than that this isn't very good value.

It works like your typical flashlight and seems to have reasonable battery life. It lasted through a full weekend camping trip with full battery life. It was even dropped a few times and it still works well. It's not extremely bright and perfect for young kids.

Sellers description said the flash light came with the 1 required battery . Wrong it requires 2 it came with none. I installed two of my battery's, very dim light. The worst waste of time I've ever had.

On and off button stopped working after a couple of weeks, very disappointing.

Not a Multi-pack! Add is deceiving. Cheap flashlight that works well for the kids. But will break easily if dropped. Fast shipping.
