The materials for this saw are cheaply made, so it is fine for small scale tasks, especially where a large saw would not fit. the hacksaw blades do not look to be very durable, so a couple of uses and toss the blade. I like that a larger blade can be attached in place of the top brace, but finding replacements is questionable. It would have ben better if the top mount would accept and hold standard recip saw blades, increasing its versitility. A decent tool for small jobs.

I ordered this little saw because of its small size so that I could keep it in my car with some other tools I keep with me at all times. More than once I have unexpectedly needed a hacksaw when my full sized one was back at my house instead of with me. This little guy will fill that emergency hack saw need perfectly. This is not a high quality carpenter's saw that you would want to rely on every day. It's just an inexpensive substitute for those times when nothing else is around and you need a hand saw for a not too demanding job or repair. Despite the thin plastic handle, the saw is quite stable and secure and performs very well. It comes with four extra blades but unfortunately only three of the four will store inside the top tube. It would have been nice if the manufacturer had included a small inexpensive case to store it in.
