I love getting my 11-year-old son unique advent calendars and this fit the bill. We have played several Exit escape boxes so I kind of knew what to expect from this brand and I was still pleasantly surprised. The storyline and the clues are very clever. Everything included could be a clue. From the box to the instruction booklets. There is one booklet that told the story and one booklet with hints. It’s not easy and I admit that I relied heavily on the hint book but it didn’t diminish the fun. The set also comes with a special decoder ring that you need to solve each riddle in order to find the door for the next game. I thought it was a bit expensive but seeing how well it is made, I believe it is worth the money. It is pretty large but in a good way.

I love escape rooms so thought I’d give this a whirl. This was high quality and wasn’t missing any pieces. The puzzles were so creative and I loved that it included movies that I was familiar with. Most of the puzzles were appropriate for ages 10+ but some were impossible to get without the hint book. I would absolutely recommend this and am already buying other Exit escape room games.

This is the best advent calendar I've ever purchased! It's so much fun to play each day and try to solve another part of the puzzle. Purchased it for my 10 year old and she can do some parts but really needs an adult to help solve the puzzle each day - which is great since we can do it together. Love that there is a clue guide that gives you 3 different clues so it gives you a chance to see if you can solve it with just one clue or if you need more help. We are only on day 12 so we haven't done the whole game yet, but so far completely love this!!! So worth it!

This is our third year doing an Exit Advent calendar, and we absolutely love them. We love the Exit games so when we realized they made an Advent calendar, we had to try it. These puzzles are definitely beginner level, but there are so many tricks and strategies you have to employ which keeps the puzzle fresh. I love that you use every single piece of this puzzle and in the end, it shows! December is my favorite month because of these puzzles!

Excellent advent fun, for the right person. It is thought -provoking and modestly challenging.

I bought this as an alternative to the candy and sweet advent calendars. I have two teens at home and thought it would be a fun family activity. The clues are well thought out and creative. There were a few days where the daily missions were almost impossible. It discouraged my kids because you really needed the clue book to figure them out. Over all though, most missions were solid and well designed. There were a good variety of missions, so each day you had to think differently. For example one day, you would be counting shapes, the next day, deciphering a code. Once we did the first few, we got the hang of it. For the price, I am not sure I would do one every year, but it was fun to try something different. I definitely think this is for ages 13+.

This is our third EXIT advent calendar, and it didn’t disappoint. My kids (11 & 19) have been completing these together each year and this year they were so good the adults didn’t get to help much. We have done at least one other exit game each year and they have really grown in their ability to figure out how to attack each puzzle. It’s fun to see their individual strengths shine. Our visual thinker always shocks us when he sees exactly how we’re supposed to be thinking, while the rest of us were going down the wrong path. I love that this game is able to bring us together for a little bit every night during the advent season, and that my kids are able to appreciate each other. I hope these games continue to be made each year.

Says it is for 10 and up but medical student still found it challenging.

Incroyable calendrier de l’avent d’énigmes ! Attention il est en anglais. Parfois certaines énigmes ont nécessité de regarder les indices, mais au global c’est une folle expérience, on sent qu’il y a énormément de travail derrière ! Je conseille fortement

Vamos en el día 9 y ha Sido mejor de lo esperado, los acertijos verdaderamente desafiantes y entretenidos todo bien armado, como dato es importante leer el contenido día por día porque los accesorios se pueden mover dentro de la caja y terminar en el día equivocado, nada que no se pueda resolver. Nos encanta como el juego incluye todo el empaque. Sin duda volveremos a comprar otra versión.

Arrived damaged and cards inside various doors contents got mixed around meaning you had to open all the doors to find cards required for each puzzle. I’m still missing one card in puzzle 3, after opening all doors so it’s stuck presumably inside the game box - so you’d need to open that to get it out - very disapproving. Will skip that puzzle but with all doors open, moving box now will lead to materials sliding around.

I liked it a lot! This is my first calendar from EXIT, and I was surprised about how much I loved it. I liked how the riddles were created, it was really fascinating to solve everything.

Muy divertido! De los calendarios de adviento de EXIT este es el que más me ha gustado por ahora, la historia es muy entretenida y tiene muchas referencias a la cultura pop. Es bastante sencillo y cada dia encontramos la solución entre 15min y 30min jugando dos personas. Esta en inglés todo, pero usando el traductor del móvil se entiende todo perfectamente
