Don’t waste your time. The second Blqckvue switched to a cloud subscription focus, all of the sudden every single connection method that doesn’t require a subscription payment stops working. I wonder why the FREE offline functionality stopped working correctly as soon as there was a monthly payment/subscription version was released. Pick a company with some morals and ethics behind their operation

The installation of the dashcam is super intuitive and the hardwiring kit it comes with is great. The camera was installed on a Toyota RAV4 and the cords easily reached both ends of the vehicle. The kit also comes with a tool that helps hide any wires ensuring a sleek design. Additionally the app is very good, and the tamper proof box provides an extra piece of mind about leaving the car out. One thing, when driving it may pick up events very easily so I turned some alerts off, but overall a great tool

If you don't have wifi in your vehicle, this is not good. It is just like another dashcam. It would be nice if there's a SIM slot but this model don't have. I like the discreet style of Canera. The main box can be store and hide it. But if you don't have WIFI then no luck for live streaming. This has only 2 camera. Buy the other version with SIM but the main camera is big and obstruction.

After spending several hours installing this I discovered that the audio records a constant loud buzzing sound. I did some searching and found that a lot of people have reported this issue since this camera was released almost a year ago and they still haven’t fixed it. The BlackVue support recommended that I fix the issue by turning down the volume. What’s the point of having audio if it has to be kept turned down, which is the equivalent of being on mute with no audio? This is supposed to be a premium camera but it turns out it is very poor quality.

Excellent camera system , love the cloud feature . I am replacing a 970x 2channel model because the only weakness i found with BlackVue is the heat . If it is in parking mode and it’s too hot it will shut down . This model takes care of that by hiding the brain away from the sun .

I think it's a great dashcam overall. The camera quality wasn't as good as I was expecting, but it's more than good enough. The camera size is small enough to hide from my field of view while driving. The rear dash fell off the sticky part, so I'll have to retry that. It is a pain to remove the sticky stuff from the windshield.

I liked this dashcam even though I think it's more expensive than it should be. I was happy with it for the few months it worked. Then it started alarming loudly from the unit. I haven't been able to get through to customer service and the only way to stop the constant alarm is to disconnect it. So now it's useless. I have researched online the issues that can trigger the alarm and nothing works. I believe I have a faulty unit. I will update this review if I can ever get customer service to respond to me.

This is a great car camera. It records well and has an easy to use interface. HOWEVER, you only get 10 minutes of live viewing time per day. This is not enough! I owned the DR900 model before and they've taken away the ability to have multiple wireless networks. You can only join and save one network at a time now. REALLY? There are 2 networks options: "Cloud" and "WIFI." Cloud allows you to connect to your hotspot or home network, while "WIFI" is more of a local connection - which allows you to directly connect to your phone, computer, etc. What's interesting to me is this: They are based on the same WIFI technology but the range on "WIFI" is about 20 feet. Cloud has more range, but again, you get 10 minutes of live viewing time. It seems as though they are intentionally throttling the "WIFI" wireless range for the "WIFI" network to force you to pay for one of their wireless "Cloud" packages. Keep in mind that you still have to PROVIDE THE WIRELESS NETWORK to connect to, and they are charging you to connect to it!!!
