This a great training for bird dogs. Not only do they get a visual, but they also get sound. Powered by .22 blanks this will send the bumper roughly 75yards depending on the size of the blank. The recoil isn't that bad and there is a cushion to make it more comfortable. The blank rounds are quick change and easy. I've probably used mine for atleast 50 shots with no sign of wear and tear. Its made of heavy steel. The bumper floats and is made of a very thick canvas. My dog is notoriousfir ripping uo bumpers but yet has out a hole in this one. The firing mechanism is very simple and straightforward. Simply pulling back on the spring loaded hammer is all it takes. Spare rubber O rings are included for the firing shaft. Please no that this is as loud as a firearm firing. Hearing protection is highly recommended. This is a top of the line training aid that will last yiu a long time.

We use this with our lab, and it works great. Launches a great distance, is a great size & weight. The color of the retrieval toy sucks as it gets dirty but can be washed off.

Great tool for training dog. This dummy launcher works good and shoots far. Great tool to use to simulate gunfire training at the park where firearm discharging are prohibited.

We spent a good bit of time trying to find one of these locally and were unable to do so. But fortunately Amazon came through for us and we were able to get it delivered next day! It's been excellent so far! Everything was exactly as described in the product listing. It's a manageable size so my wife is able to use it without it being too clunky or heavy. Very little recoil on the wrist, though it was louder than anticipated in comparison to just using .410 blanks. Definitely not enough to make it unusable though. All in all, it was a great purchase at a reasonable price. It's working great to get our GSP ready for dove season!

Great if you're trying to desensitize or acclimate your dog to loud noises, or even just for the exercise from long retrieves. Be careful where you use this training tool, since it sounds exactly like a gun. Urban areas would be a poor choice, so be sure to use it in rural locations, designated dog training areas, or sportsman clubs. As other reviewers have mentioned, you have to keep it clean and you have to replace the o-ring fairly frequently. Remington cleaning and lubricating products (or similar) are a good choice for maintenance on this launcher.

Sehr gutes Gerät um den Vierbeiner mit Freude an den Knall zu gewöhnen und den Apport zu verknüpfen. Es gibt für diese Dummywerfer auch noch Entenattrappen eines anderen Anbieters... bitte selbst recherchieren bei den einschlägigen Fieldsports Anbietern. Ich setze das Gerät im eigenen Revier ein. Auf Gund des Knalls (Plopp) ist der Einsatz des Gerätes während des Spaziergangs in einem fremden Revier nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Revierpächter zu empfehlen, um Unstimmigkeiten zu vermeiden. Für Nichtjäger ist dieses Gerät nicht geeignet, es kann nur mit .22lr bzw. 6mm lang Schreckschussmunition betrieben werden. Ich hatte auf Grund des US Imports eine längere Lieferzeit, aber nach wenigen Wochen war es geliefert. Gerät funktioniert und tut was es soll - 100% Kaufempfehlung. Horrido und Weidmannsheil!
