Very solid product. Used for a 600 mile trip and it worked great! Had a few scattered rain showers and there was no damage to the contents at all. Straps vibrated in the winds at highway speeds, but I found that wrapping a piece of duct tape around the straps quieted the ride. The bag will get hot in the summer temps and I recommend not hauling anything that’s sensitive to heat. All in all, I highly recommend this product.

This is a well made cargo bag that holds a lot of gear. The material is very rugged and durable, and the zipper is high quality. Installation is easy, and it worked very well for its first 4 day trip. I used it on top of a Subaru Ascent that has a long sunroof, and factory roof rails with Thule crossbars. I didn’t want to place the bag directly on the glass, so I ordered a cheap second pair of crossbars to support its large size and eliminate sag in the middle. The only improvement I’d love to see in this bag, is a bottom insert to give it some rigidity. I had to position the crossbars and pack it strategically to keep the bag off of the roof. I realize it’s a soft bag, and that a solid bottom insert would make storage a real pain when not in use. However, I think a foldable insert could eliminate that problem and make using this cargo bag with roof racks a lot easier. Regardless, this bag seems very well made and it held up really well through 2 states and back. I expect it to hold up for many years to come. It’s a great value for the money spent.

Drove around 500miles in rain with some heavy downpours. No rain got into the bag and it performed well. Very large topper with decent built in tie downs . My only concern is the clasps are a little whimpy so I just added 2 rachet straps I had laying around. I also had the zipper towards the back of the car to cut down on the velcro overlap flapping. I would recommend this product!

Used for a 9 hour 1 way to and 1 way back beach trip. Much bigger than I had stuff for, but well made. Kinda hard to load on a full size SUV. It rained hard on our trip with a tropical storm. Kept everything dry and together

Quality was impressive. However it did not for our Buick enclave. Our door weather stripping does not peel away from the car.

Seven trips with the Reese Cargo Bag, Five in the pouring rain. Luggage stayed dry. The bag is very large it holds a lot of stuff I can not cram in my car, My wife is handicapped so a lot of her essentials go up top in the bag. Zipper is heavy duty the velcro is strong. Extremely durable. Does not take up any space when you store it. Goes right back in the bag.

This product got me from FL to WI and back during the holidays. My only trouble with it was one of the female plastic clips broke. I wrote the company for a replacement and never got a response, that was displeasing but overall a good purchase.

This is so solid! Definitely water proof! This bag is huge. It was amazing what I got in it! (Full disclosure, car was overloaded and very top heavy) great quality id buy it again in a blink of my eye
