Momentum Masters: A Roundtable Interview with Super Traders with Minervini, Ryan, Zanger & Ritchie II Review: Informative, interesting conversation with successful traders - I've read many books on this subject, and found this to be an excellent look at how successful men trade. Their approch is almost identical. This is interesting to learn, as they drive home the same points over and over, from different perspectives. They go over their entire method of trading and stock selection, how they enter and exit, each individual in style and yet the same in practice. I learned new interesting things about strategy and psychology and found it uniquely educational. You'll realize how important the fundamental methods are when you see that each trader independently formed the same approch after many years of trail and error. Review: Insightful learnings and valuable lessons - This is a good book and you will learn a lot from each trader, you will find a common pattern that will help you improve your trading results, as you must read it a number of times for it to be memorised so when you are in a situation in your trade or not, you will be able to recall what the master traders did in a similar situation, helping you through that situation. Its like having them mentoring you by your side!

FAVORITE TRADING BOOKS
I have read probably three dozen trading books, and there are several I read again and again. Out of that handful, this one is by far my favorite. While most trading books start from the ground floor and work you up to intermediate skills, this one starts from intermediate and touches on advanced concepts. I love the round-table flow of it, that makes it simple to breeze thru in under a day. I also like comparing the different strategies employed by each 'master', as I view trading as a toolbox like these guys do... your strategy will not be the same as theirs, but you can see how each adapted different tactics to fit their style and temperament.

Great book for experienced traders.. not beginners !!
I really enjoyed the book. Still, I think it's not a book for beginners. You have to be a decent/mature-enough trader to have those "aha" moments.. so you understand what they go through.. Understanding what they mean by being a 2-to-1 trader, etc.. There is a high probability that a beginner doesn't even keep good records of his trades. How can he know what kind of traders he is. You'll need to be at that stage of your "trading career" where you know your stats (Win/Loss ratio, hit rate, highest gain/loss, average gain/loss, etc) in order to fully grasp what there is to understand in this book. Several good insights worth reading such as risk management, positions sizing, etc. I enjoyed the "Don't get in a position all at once.. split your order in 2 or 3 pieces" so if you lose, you'll lose less. Don't be ashamed to take profits (which is somehow the opposite of what we hear in other trading books)... I like their take half of your position off the table (a profit is a good profit no matter what) and let the other half run its course. Cut losses quick...cut it, cut it cut it.. even quicker than I thought.. Those guys don't let room to their stocks, if it doesn't act properly, they'll cut faster than their actual stop/loss. What I don't get on the other hand is "why are those guys talking now?". You can find many profitable traders out there and they are not so talkative.. Let's say they make their $$ and move on with their life. They rarely share their trading skills. Minervini used to not say much (see his market wizard interview).. still, don't get me wrong I love the guy.. I consider him the Roger Federer of trading.. elegance and skills. Important to note as well that these guys are what I call "olympic champs". There is a low probability that you'll be the next 500 / 1,000% a year kinda guy... but there is plenty of room between the 0% and the 500%...and if you add the beauty of compounding on top... great things are ahead of you.

What a great book! I would call this the trading situational ...
What a great book! I would call this the situational awareness trading manual. It's really a great format with questions I would have asked myself. They are such that every level of trader can benefit. The multiple answer format allows you to see the thought and individual "art" that's behind every great trader. Momentum Maters cuts out the clutter - really holding these guys accountable to the advice given. After all - they have each other to answer to in addition to the reading audience. Every trader at all levels should take a couple of reads though Momentum Masters (I am at one but will pick it back up and read though it again)! Well done guys. The icing on the cake is that you can see them live together - asking any question you want. And they stay until every question is answered. I know to some this will sound like a commercial. But I am a real trader that considers myself a "nugget hunter" for continuous improvement. I also want to point out the real - all too many aren't. These guys are real.........

Sitting at the Feet of the Masters
There are two types of traders that will read this book, profitable traders and unprofitable traders - and it has something for both. If you're already profitable, you'll instantly realize the experience of these four gentlemen, and you're bound to find something which may refine your methods even further and help you turn out a few triple digit years. If you're unprofitable, then maybe the insights they share will take you over the hump. (If you're new to trading, start elsewhere and come back later because this definitely isn't an introductory course on trading even though it does cover everything). With that said, here is your opportunity to sit front row during a fantastic interview while four professionals with decades of collective experience talk about what works when trading growth stocks. Like the four Gospels in the New Testament, you get four individual's unique perspectives on the same subject, each helping to clarify the picture in their own unique way. At the end you realize they're saying the same thing. If this book has a central message, it could be summed up by the following: Search for companies which are growing their earnings at a high rate, be highly selective about the stocks you trade and the entries you take, keep your losses small, make sure your winners are multiples larger than your losses, and turn your capital over as rapidly as possible. That is the essence of trading. To get the details you have to read the book. And there are a lot of details. They couldn't have been more transparent about their methodology. Read it, study it, go trade, read again, go trade, read again, go trade. Eventually you should get the hang of it – but as each of their experience shows, it takes a lot of hard work and discipline. Thanks Mark, David, Dan, and Mark - this is an incredible contribution to the trading community that will likely stand the test of time. Five stars.

Experience you can learn from
Loved this book - true to it's goal it felt like a conversation with 3 true masters and one up and coming elite trader. As an intermediate-level trader it confirmed my belief that trading is profitable if you build a scalable, logical trading system and apply it with good discipline and risk management. These traders have tried and tested methods and are able to adapt to different market climates and also apply the required discipline (something I'm still working on). The book is an easy read but has a depth to it that means I will refer back to it numerous times in future.

Terrific book
This is a terrific book. There is something about having top traders answering questions that nearly everyone has that brings out the essence of what you need to know. Minervini is a great teacher-- he explains clearly and to the point without excess verbiage. I've read many dozens of trading and investment books-- O'Neill, Livermore, Sperendeo, Minervini, Schwager, Loeb, Fisher Philip and Ken, Covel, etc etc etc. This is one of the best. One to reread and read. With more experience you'll get more out of it. Even a few charts to illustrate some notable gain and loss trades of the participants.
