Native Forest Organic Light Coconut Milk, Reduced Fat

Due to high calcium oxalates I can't have milk. With my Doc's okay I tried coconut milk and it was okay but it was really sweet and not low in calories or fat. I asked a question on Amazon and other users responded and they gave me so much info I decided to try it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! WOW!!! It's creamier than dairy milk. It's not too sweet like the one I first tried. I open the can, pour it into a jar and then I use it on my morning cereal and even in a cup of coffeel. My sister, who is lactose intolerant, tried it and she loves it too. If you put it in a freezer safe container, you can freeze it, I haven't needed to do that as I use it all up!

Well, I haven't yet met a coconut milk that's not thick and creamy, so it's not a huge complaint that this one is. It mixes well with anything. Has no flavor (I was kind of hoping for *some* mild coconut flavor). it's too thick to use as the 100% liquid on cereal, so I water it down with soymilk. Bonus about it not having a flavor is that it's good to use with canned cream soups.

My wife and I are dairy free so and love coconut products! So we were very happy when we found coconut milk for such a great price! Comes very well packaged and it very tasty :) However, if you plan on needing to use coconut cream for any of your recipes make sure you get the full fat kind!!! You can get some from this "Light" Coconut Milk the full fat will give you 3x as much.

I used to buy this regularly and loved the product. I am not sure what happened but I have had two shipments of cases that contain unmixed coconut. When I open the can there is this clear gel crap. When I pour the contents out here comes a small glop of what appears to be coconut. SO GROSS!

I haven't taken time to rate all my purchases. I felt like this one deserves the best! I recently stopped using dairy for health reasons. I also used the flavored creamers forgetting they have high fructose corn syrup as an ingredient. We all know how that affects sugar spikes even if it says sugar free. I needed a healthy option to flavor my coffee. This is great & it will froth as good as milk. This has good fat. Only negative is the cost.... especially if you like latte. I decide it was less than Starbucks and more healthy. Great for cooking too.

I have been keeping these canned LIGHT coconut milk in the pantry as a milk substitute. I use them when milk runs out for my coffee, or in drinks and stews/soups where milk is not as nice. Try putting this in a hot aromatic Chai/tea instead of milk. Because the coconut aroma complements herbs and spices so much better than milk! Also better than milk for adding to many aromatic or nutty desserts! Overall, this LIGHT version is not heavy in texture or taste. Make sure to stir before every use.

Our family LOVES this coconut milk! It is great to buy it in a case that comes right to your door since we do use it a lot. We find this brand to be the best product for the money. It is extremely creamy, even for light. We use it for everything--curries, cakes, cookies, homemade ice-cream, milkshakes, smoothies, cashew cream, sauces, frosting etc. It does separate into the cream and water if you do not shake it up so if you want something to be richer or more coconuty you can add more of the top half of the can, but if you want a more neutral taste you can use the bottom half of the can. We have been using this brand from Amazon for years now and it has never let us down. It is also worth noting that the can is BPA free.
