Life Changing!
Ok so short story long… I didn’t start using tampons until my early 20s because I was just always too tense or didn’t get it in enough to not feel it. Never went back to pads during the day after I finally got the hang of those - I’ll still wear pads at night to “air stuff out.” Fast forward to last year when I decided as a 37 year old Mom of one to try a cup, but with an applicator. I need the applicator. There’s no way I’m comfortable enough with not having an applicator. I bought one, tried it maybe twice with intentions to continue, but then found out I was pregnant the following month with our double rainbow. Fast forward to this October when my period came back again in full force after a year of absence. They’ve been a little heavy, but nothing crazy, and still very regular, as I’ve always been. Last week I said you know what… let me try a disc this time. The cup has a weird suction thing it needs to do, and the little tab on the bottom wasn’t really enough for me to feel comfortable, so I searched around a bit. A friend of mine loves the discs, but again - applicator needed! And string/tab necessary too. So I said screw it, let me try it. Well, got my period yesterday and used the smaller one. The applicator is a bit harder at first, but more comfortable than the cup’s was. My first shot, I got it in there, but I don’t think it was quite high enough because I could feel it a bit when sitting and walking around. The “string” is perfect size - I was worried it might hang on the outside, but it doesn’t, and it’s close enough that I don’t have to uncomfortably dig in there to get it out. So I left it in for about 2hrs… no leaking, came out easy! Ok, we’re on to something here. Today, I decided to try it out again, but made sure I went in a little further. Boom. It was in. I felt nothing. I had that baby in for 9hrs without any leaking, and it was so comfortable. That’s it. That’s a wrap. I’m never going back. I’ll keep some tampons in my bag for my fellow ladies, but man, I will RAVE about this at any chance I can get! I literally texted like 5 friends about it because I’m so amazed at how comfortable and easy it is. Only negative so far was the second removal.. clearly had a bit more collected, so it was a bit of a crime scene, but that’ll just be a learning curve. I cannot emphasize enough - if I can be comfortable and successful with this - YOU CAN TOO! just trust yourself and your body, and you will never go back! Seriously about to post on Facebook about how pumped I am to have been able to use this! So if you’re on the fence - just buy it! This is perfect for beginners and I swear, the thought of having something way more natural that I can wear a whole day at work (when I return from maternity leave in a week 😭,) is beyond exciting. It’s the little things, ladies. Just get it. You won’t regret it!

I'm finally able to be a disc user!
I have never been able to wear tampons. I would pass out attempting to insert them...😂. So I been a pad-only girl for years. Even after getting married (which is when I thought I could maybe handle the tampon thing), but it just never happened. Now that I've given birth to three babies, I'm a little more willing to try something new. Periods with reusable pads are a bloody mess and these kids got questions I just ain't ready to fully answer yet, but I can understand why they want to know why it looks like a murder scene in the toilet with bloody pads draining into the diaper pail (which leads to the toilet). So I tried the Pixie cup and ultimately decided it wasn't for me because I could still feel it in there and I couldn't NOT think about it. The disc seemed very intimidating because of how high up it gets inserted. I tried it anyway, but since I don't love getting all up in my business like that, I could never get it 100% right. I have no desire to feel my cervix and I couldn't get it back far enough on my own. Tucking the disc behind the pubic bone was my limit, but the disc would ultimately turn sideways on me after a couple of hours. I was beginning to give up hope when the applicator was introduced! It makes sense for tampon users 😂 and probably feels intuitive to some people. It's not that hard to use and lube definitely helps. Once you get the angle of insertion correct, it's basically done! This tool has accomplished for me what I could not do on my own, and I'm so grateful for it! It's day one of my cycle and I can't feel the disc at all and I'm not leaking...well, maybe from my eyes a bit because I'm so happy that the applicator helped me figure this out after trying and failing for many cycles. It works great!

Great for application in public bathrooms
The applicator is easy to use (after a few tries) and very easy to clean. The tip is silicone so is easy to insert, especially when combined with the pixie lubricant. It is a less messy way to use the disc, especially in a public bathroom setting. The only negative I found was the sides of the applicator is hard plastic and the bit where the silicone meets the hard plastic is uncomfortable.

Love It
So there's a little bit of a learning curve with this disc, but once you get it, it makes life so much easier. I appreciate being able to forget about it for 12 hours and not worrying about it leaking. The applicator is kind of bulky, so it makes inserting it slightly uncomfortable, but it really does help get the disc in the right position. The only thing that I would change is making the applicator just a little bit longer so that the disc fully fits inside and the "plunger" can notch into place because I find that if the plunger is notched in, it pushes the disc too far out of the top of the applicator, making insertion too difficult. It's also a little difficult to clean and I wish there were a way to sanitize it, but I make do with soap and water after every use. The disc itself is so easy to clean and sanitize. I got the Pixie sanitizer, which is completely worth it. The disc is also so thin and flexible that it feels very similar to a tampon once it's fully inserted. My only complaint with the disc is the shape of the tail. It's almost triangular at the very end, which does make it easier to find inside, but I can feel that piece pretty much all day. I think a circular shape would be less intrusive. Otherwise, great product that I'm so thankful to have access to. I'm not sure I'm at the point where I could change it in a public bathroom, but I don't really see myself needing to do that because I can leave it in for much longer than a tampon. I would say nearby access to a sink when changing it out is necessary. I also haven't felt the need to size up to the larger disc yet because the regular size doesn't ever look like it's to the point of overflow, but if I do, I will update my review.

I am glad Pixie decided to make an applicator because as a first time disc user, I was having a lot of trouble getting the hang of insertion without it. It does require a bit of force to push the disc into place, especially the bigger one but I find it much much easier than doing that hands only. And it seems this is the only brand that thought of that so definitely a game changer! I was about to insert it and it was perfectly positioned on the first try.

I don’t usually write reviews but I felt like for this I have to. I ordered Pixie cup because I can’t use a cup as I have IUD and it has moved once already because of it. I found out about the disc through online search and thought Pixie with applicator was the right choice for me. And I wasn’t wrong. Easy to use, empties itself and it’s comfortable. I don’t feel it at all. I had to get used to the self emptying bit as I thought it was leaking but it wasn’t at all- it’s just designed so amazingly well that it tilts when you use the toilet. Love it. I know it’s advertised as a mess free s*x as well but don’t see that happening but may try on a lighter day- on my heavy flow I just don’t see it possible 😂 But- I love the fact that I don’t have to change the Super size tampon every 2 hours on my heaviest flow days. I still wear a pad anyway as it’s my first time using it but so far so good! Honestly- if you’re hesitating - I would say go for it!

Maybe is I don’t know used but for me is not working properly. Is really easy to putt but is not collecting anything and I stink myself. Is just money wasted

Malgré le mode d'emploi, ce n'est pas du tout aisé de positionner correctement la coupe. Le plastique étant lisse, il est glissant et ce n'est pas facile de pousser la cup.
