ASTRO BOT

I've just got my boy a PS5 and most of us know that the PS5 comes with astrobot playroom preloaded on the console which gives around an hour or 2 of gameplay. My boy absolutely adored the astrobot rescue mission game on PS4 VR as well so wanted to play this game as well. The game has a fantastic blend of gameplay and interaction combined with colourful, graphically gorgeous worlds that make full use of the PS5 dual sense controllers motion control, microphone and adaptive triggers. It's an amazing title to add to your collection and a must have for kids. I have to admit that I also love playing astrobot as I did the PS4 VR version and I'm middle aged lol. It would be interesting to see if this is made into a VR version for the new VR2 and I would also buy a PS4 version whether that's VR or not I would buy another copy for the PS4. Come on developers make this VR for the PS4 and 5 as we loved it. Bit pricey but we purchased this when it was £43.99 during Black Fridays reductions so a bit cheaper. A fantastic game that is worth the money and has masses of replayability. Most of the levels are relatively easy to do although coming up against the end bosses of each level can be challenging. The speed run levels are particularly difficult and I think the developers should really make these easier for kids. I would have liked to have seen a easy, medium and hard level selection so children can have a fighting chance to complete the game but this isn't an option unfortunately. Another huge plus for the game was the additional Xmas bonus level that unlocks when you complete the game (the developers really should have given this to everyone regardless of their completion percentage) which was a timely addition just before Xmas lol. This game has deservedly won the game of the year, it's fun, it's varied and has loads of fun elements from becoming tiny like a mouse to being a large sponge astrobot soaking up water then squeezing out to grow plants for coins or putting out baddy fire characters etc etc I really hope the developers make more astrobot games because they are fantastic games for kids and adults. Please don't forget about the PS4 players either and especially those that own the original playstation VR headset because this would be fantastic in VR. Top game and deservedly the winner of game of the year.

Bought this for my 6 year old and was surprised how much fun this was. One of the best PS5 games in recent years. Astro Bot on PS5 is an absolute delight. From the moment you start playing, it’s clear this game was designed to showcase everything the PS5 hardware can do especially the DualSense controller. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers make every jump, glide, and gadget feel incredibly immersive. The levels are creative, colorful, and full of personality. It’s one of those rare games that manages to be charming, funny, and genuinely fun for players of all ages. The controls are smooth, the platforming feels great, and there’s tons of replay value thanks to hidden collectibles and clever challenges.

Astro Bot is a very basic singler player platformer game where you play as an Astro Bot whose job is to rescue all his fellow Astro Bots. The Astro Bots you will rescue are in the style of characters from popular PlayStation games, such as Crash Bandicoot. You will explore numerous worlds collecting coins, defeating bad guys, solving easy puzzles, and unlocking new gear for your Astro Bots. The game quite long, so it's bound to keep you busy for some time which is always a good thing. As for the graphics, it's in wonderful 4k 60 FPS and benefits from PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) upscaling for even sharper image quality! Additonal features: DualSense Features - Adaptive triggers simulate resistance in actions like pulling or pushing. - Haptic feedback enhances immersion, making environments feel tactile. --- Do I recommend this game? Heck, yes! It's fun for everyone, even little Timmy.

Purchased for my 6 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. Great game to ntroduce a young one into gaming and get her used to the control pad. It also has helped with her hand to eye coordination as well as problem solving when it comes to patterns. It's very vivid, colourful and just a great exploration game overall. I love that it makes use of all the control pads features instead of just the buttons like all the other games. It keeps her busy as well us as us when we play it too. Highly recommend for all ages tbh

For the fans and new players alike Fantastic game that really gives you a dive into all the old and new favorite PlayStation characters. Tons of easter eggs and level designs, creative, innovative and exceptional usage of the haptic feedback. The game itself is an awesome platformer with varying difficulty. It's not Crash Bandicoot levels nor the custom Mario Level difficulties but there are plenty of levels that will have you on the edge of your seat - especially the grand finale if you're a platinum seeker. But with some perseverance I feel like I can comfortably say any gamer will enjoy their time with this one and only be sad because you've come to the end ! BUT there are plenty of extra levels that become available when you beat the base game. Including free level updates (a really fun Christmas themed one) and the free addon challenge levels! (Which will have you pulling your hair out) (Note for trophy hunters the DLC challenge levels are not required for the Platinum trophy) Highly recommend for families/couples who want to have some fun together taking turns on levels or helping one another and introducing others to all time favourites!

A stunning game which really shows the power of the PS5 Pro. Wonderfully fun and intuitive. You don’t need to be a kid to enjoy this.

Very fun game, only issue I have is it lacks extra goodies in the box on the left side which is a shame for first party exclusive otherwise it has a nice looking cover to make up for it.
