SKOOKUM GOOD!
Item arrived QUICKLY and in pristine condition. Now I CANNOT actually verify the 18F description on these; but HOLY COW do these ARIZONA ICE PACKS work! I put TWO of these inside a 52 quart cooler and had to use them for twenty-four hours to keep my food cold. Upon initially putting these inside my ice chest, I would've preferred wearing some light gloves as cold as they were. After emptying my ice chest after the 24 hour period, the ice packs were still incredibly cold. There had been some residual water in the ice chest and surprisingly, that had turned to ICE! I somewhat altered the initial directives in "charging" these ice packs in that I only filled them half way with water, closed the cap, shook it vigorously for about a minute, then I opened the cap, and continued to fill the ice pack with water until full. My intent was to fully dissolve the chemical mixture inside the ice packs. (Not sure if it made any difference, though). These ice packs are a "no-brainer", you can trust what the manufacturer says they will do. I am extremely happy with this purchase and I WILL be ordering more of these.

Keeps frozen things frozen longer! The best ice packs we’ve found!
These are the very best ice packs we’ve ever used! They keep things colder longer then several ice packs or bags of ice. We can pack frozen items and they stay frozen until we use them. We have purchased more for every cooler we have and advise our friends to purchase!

surprisingly cold and long lasting.
Pretty impressed with these. I put just 1 into a insulated soft case cooler with a towel to protect the produce I took to camp for 6 days. The case was still cold on the 4th day. And by that time my produce was down to the last items that didn't need to remain really cold. Weather warmed up on those last days so it held up real well considering it was just 1 pack and a thin soft case cooler. I have yet to put these to use in a camp cooler for a 5 or 6 day mission. I rely on 2 large (80+oz) juice containers filled with water and frozen solid. I need ice to last a week or longer while I am out in the mountains. Not quite ready to try these for those longer missions. During the winter, these should perform quite well for keeping the cooler cold for 5 or 6 days. These ice packs have been useful for shopping. Take up little room in the cooler. Kept food items cold during summer shopping missions. And with the cost of food... its totally worth the effort and time to make sure items stay cold till you get back home. As I continue testing these I will update as the year gets closer to its end. My hope is that I can use these for shorter camp missions and maybe 5or 6 day missions during late fall/winter.

Stays Cold for a Long Time!
Top tier ice substitute! When used in a quality cooler with one of these at the bottom and another over the top (along with some thin gel style ice packs along the sides) will easily give you multiple days of cooling performance. Be aware that you will have to fill these up with water and mix with the cooling particulate (already inside the ice pack). This is very easy to do; just fill up the ice pack to just below the "cap line," secure the cap, and then shake vigorously to properly mix everything together; then, it is ready for the freezer. It may be more expensive up front, but ice packs like these will quickly pay themselves off when you don't have to buy bags of ice from the store anymore!

Ok for beach use
I would describe these as a compliment to ice, but not a substitute for ice, at least for all day usage. These are big, bulky, heavy and take up space in your cooler. I would still buy again, just with different expectations. We used for a beach trip. We put them in the bottom of our big boxy cooler and topped with ice and it helped keep the ice longer and everything stayed frozen for the trip despite being in full sun. I used on the beach in my smaller insulated tote style coolers, where ice usually melts and makes a mess, and these kept drinks and food cold (not frozen like the description says) for about 4 hours (in full sun), although it took up space and make the bag heavier than normal. I would love to find this exact style in a smaller size. Will probably work good for an all day boat trip with these on bottom and ice on top. Good purchase, just have realistic expectations.

Great product!
These have exceeded our expectations. They last so long and support ice chests and our RV freezer.

cold product!
Just arrived, havnt used yet, but research shows it to ve the best choice. I also learned that a cooler is like a thermos. We prime a thermos w Hot water, let is sit, do other stuff to prep to leave, last min, dump it and add a fresh boil of water for longest lasting heat. Coolers are similar, pack w ice or freezer bottles the night before, and when ready to go, drop your ice packs into the cold prep'd cooler... makes sense to me!
