My grandson loves it.

After reading the reviews I was prepared to not expect much quietly wise and I agree mostly but it’s average quality I’d say. I’d give it 5 stars for how much my autistic son loves it though so worth every penny. If you have a plane loving child then it’s brilliant.

The quality of the parts are somewhat questionable, all plastic and quite small. Good design and our grandson will I am sure enjoy it although I don’t expect it to last very long.

Looking for a toy airport set to give for Christmas, I bought what is marked as “Special Edition”. I found this to be the best option of only few choices, all of them barely mediocre. My biggest bugbear with this set is the annoyingly inconsistent scale of the two airplanes and all other vehicles provided. As you can see from one of my photos, the passenger stair truck is of much larger scale than the airplane, as are all other airport vehicles and private cars supplied. The bright young recipient of my gift noticed this immediately and it has greatly reduced his enjoyment of and his interest in this set. For this reason alone, I cannot imagine this toy set to be of interest to any child over the age of four. However, the quality of the plastic is not great, and I would question how long the material would stand up to a three or four-year old’s play. As several previous reviewers have already mentioned, many of the photographs used in this listing have been manipulated in order to make the set with its terminal building look much larger than in real life. I find this deceptive. The playmat is of a sort of felty material and, despite various ironing tricks, still hasn’t flattened out properly after one week’s use. As a result, planes and vehicles cannot travel on a smooth surface, again leading to the child’s disappointment. One more thing which I noticed on the reverse side of the set’s cardboard packaging: The manufacturer states that, “Specifications, colours and contents may vary from illustrations”. So, basically, what is shown on the packaging might not even be contained therein. Very peculiar.

Bought this for my grandson, He absolutely loves it plays with it for hours. Money well spent

Slightly smaller than I expected But I'm sure my grandson will be happy with it

For the price, $25, or especially the sale price i got it at, $20, this is a 5 out of 5. I had recently gotten a large 5'x7' airport play rug for my 2 year old. I found some military style jets but really wanted a commercial airliner. Found this set that and figured it would be ok but it is actually above par for the price. Yes everything in this set is plastic but kids dont care and everything is really cute.

The quality is not the best but the kids love it

I have mixed feelings about this airport set because my son loves it, but I am not overly impressed. Let me list for you some of the things I did not love. 1) for how small it is, there was a decent amount of assembly and stickers to place. I am assuming a lot of this was for packing purposes, but it was a bit annoying. 2) the quality of the materials is not top notch. It is good enough, but I don't feel like this set will last long term. 3) the roads/backdrop piece is just folded plastic. Again, okay for my sons desires, but not quality. You will have to decide whether you think the price is low enough for a toy that is unlikely to last long, but if you have an airplane/airport loving child, it might be worth it.
