Could be much better if simpler
If you want to boil the water, you have to learn how to operate the Temp Control when the water inside is warm or hot. The lid opening is designed by a moron. After one month, the button and the spring do NOT work and you have to use knife to pry the lid off - having boiling water inside. Good luck! The lid opening and closing should be manual. Beside, so far it works = boils the water.

I purchased this as a gift for our son. It beats fairly quickly and is easy to use.

works ok, while it works
I've had this for a few months. The metal top of the lid fell off a few months ago and it's just the plastic now. Which isn't really a big deal since it still works. But not exactly a vote of confidence when parts start falling off. And the other day, for some reason, it would not turn on. After leaving it alone for a day it finally turned back on. When its working, it heats up water pretty fast. but given the lid fell off and it's seems to be starting to have issues actually turning on, I wouldnt buy it again. update 8/17/19 - and today it stopped working entirely. I'd consider this a piece of junk not worth buying since i used it less then once a day and it didn't even last a year.

Rust and Temp viewer issues
I bought this in July 2018 and use it pretty much daily. The lid has rust all around it. Nothing inside so I'm still able to use it. The biggest issue is the temp readout stopped really working about a year ago. Still gets to the correct temp (boiling) but if I wanted it at a certain temp I would have a hard time programming it to that or taking it off at the right time since it's hard to see. Would I buy this again? Nope. When this one dies I will go with a different brand.
