easy to use, small, battery lasts a while
love this thing. it's just one button to turn on and off, works quickly, and perfectly shows where I have and haven't applied sunscreen. I also use it to track when I need to reapply

Quality UV mirror, I'm impressed!
This mirror is well made, solid. Decent image size. Simple operation. Opens out 180° You can easily see which spots you've missed on your face when spreading sun protection. It's also great for checking if and where sunscreen has worn off before applying more, during the day To see if you've removed all your sunscreen at night. I discovered I needed to do a double cleanse (oil first, soap second) to remove mine. Who knew? The mirror knows! Big bonus: check your clean face for invisible sun damage (freckles you can't see in regular light) before you apply your sunscreen. You can use this information to monitor the efficacy of skin actives on these spots, see what's actually working and what is not. All together an excellent anti-aging tool to fight sun damage!

Nice price for an interesting device
Works great for cosmetics. A little lightweight, but sufficient. The battery holds a charge for months. It is set up to only do selfie shots, and it can’t save a photo, so it is somewhat awkward. To save a photo, I took a picture of a picture on the display. I just bought some fancy European sunscreen, and it turned out to be fake. In my photo, black is real sunscreen, white is fake. Worked great for revealing that!

THIS. IS. THE. BEST. UV MIRROR
Got spouse to lay out for the UV REVEAL and then Sunscreenr went on SharkTank and got blown out of the water. The unit came and has been buggy as all get out. Turning itself on and draining the battery. Takes forever to charge and is just such a royal pain. I also got the Fenchilin compact with the tiny postage size UV mirror. Recently I just poked around Amazon and found this terrific UV mirror. Boots up quick, is responsive, and I love the form factor of it. I use it to confirm I've covered myself, but also to reassure myself after sweating, or wearing a mask, that my European SPF is still there. But really, where it has helped me the most: making sure I've removed the SPF before I do my nightime skincare. I was shocked to see that even after a double cleanse, my SPF was still mostly there. Now to get it off, I do an oil cleanse with a bamboo washcloth... not just a splash, and that seems to really get it off. I love this mirror. For years I followed sunscreenr and believed them when they said an "iPhone version" was "coming soon". Their first device was for Android phones. Then one day, they gave up on the iPhone version and punted me over to the UV Reveal site. That device is the size of a large iPad and three times as thick. The price was like $300. Then it went out of stock. Then it came back in stock and was priced at $850. Then the price dropped to $780. Then to $680 or something like that, and that is when we bought it. Before I got this cute little compact, I would use the UV Reveal every day and then watch it like a hawk to make sure it didn't just turn itself back on and drain the battery. No worries with this new device. This is what sunscreenr should have made in the first place. I take it everywhere with me.

This device emits strong UVA light
I measured the UVA output of this mirror using a Solar Meter Model 4.2 and found the readings to be extremely high at close range. This means the mirror actively emits UVA light (more than 365nm), which can penetrate the skin and eyes. Although the product claims it is safe, repeated or close-up use — especially without eye protection — may pose risks such as pigmentation (melasma, sunspots) or long-term skin aging. UVA is the same spectrum responsible for photoaging and deeper skin damage.

Works great!
Update: I’ve had this for nearly a year and it still works perfect ✨ I haven’t even had to recharge it a single time! This UV Camera works exactly as expected! I was worried about spending the money on it, but I couldn’t be more pleased. I’ve had it for over 2 weeks, and I haven’t had any issues. It came fully charged, and it still has majority of its battery life left (there’s a handy icon to show how much battery life it has). It came with a charging cord (and two other cords). I’ve been using it 3-4x a day to check on my sunscreen coverage. It’s great for that, and it’s also great to use while applying sunscreen to check for missed spots. I noticed I was often missing spots near my eyes! Not anymore thanks to this camera. It’s easier to see the screen indoors. In the sun it was nearly impossible to see because the UV light isn’t able to reach as far, but that’s not an issue for me. Id highly recommend this UV Camera! I didn’t like the design of the other white, round cameras but I’m sure they work just as well, but this specific camera feels sturdy, not cheap or flimsy. It fits perfectly in my purse. It’s a little thicker than my phone, but not as tall. The mirror on top is a nice addition. I have nothing negative to say! If you’re concerned about your sunscreen coverage throughout the day, I highly recommend this camera.

does its job well, not durable
I bought the UV camera to make sure my sunscreen is applied properly and the coverage is adequate. I can definitely tell where the sunscreen is applied. Operating the device is easy and it has a USB charging cable. The other purpose for using this is I wanted to ensure I removed all the sunscreen from my face and so after cleansing it is a good way to check. Update: not before 3 weeks, but the power button no longer works. It is quite fraigle. There is no spring/resistance when pushing the power button so something failed inside that does not allow me to power the device up anymore. So the durability is questionable.

Wearing sunscreen?
This helps me know where I have applied sunscreen and where I might have missed a spot! It's really helpful.

I’m so impressed with this travel sized UV camera application device!! I did a lot of research on different sunscreen application devices before deciding on this one. This works incredibly well for anyone serious about sunscreen and skin care. I use Tretinoin so sunscreen is very important in my anti aging routine. The device works wonderfully, and the mirror feature makes it even more convenient for checking how well your sunscreen is applied. I’ve attached some photos and a video to show just how well it works! It also uses a USB - C charger so you’ll always have one accessible. One thing to note: no matter your skin tone, you’ll appear a little darker on the camera than usual, which is just how it reads the UV exposure. But the real magic happens when you apply sunscreen. It shows a striking difference! The camera picks up chemical sunscreens incredibly well, so you can clearly see the areas where you’ve applied it. On the other hand, mineral sunscreens don’t show up as visible, but that’s typical for these types of formulas. I love that this device helps me ensure my sunscreen is applied evenly and effectively, which has been such a helpful tool for my skin care routine. If you’re looking to get a more accurate view of your sunscreen application at home or on the go, I highly recommend this UV camera. It’s so insightful! I wrote this with my own thoughts and opinions. I hope someone finds this helpful for them to make a decision :)

Currently priced at $129.99 this is a pretty neat product that comes packaged with the mirror and a USB-A to USB-C, USB-C to micro-USB, USB-C to USB-C cable and a UV indicator card to tell you what SPF rating you should use (at a minimum) to protect your skin against UV rays. The product doubles as a power back (hence the variety of cables) with a USB-C input/output on one side and a power button and recessed reset button on the other side. The thicker part of the mirror is a display that shows your reflection (a little surprising at first as my face showed all black, but the sunscreen showed as white) with the other half being a regular mirror. I would never have thought of a product like this but appreciate what it does as wearing sunscreen is a huge part of taking care of our skin. With UV rays seemingly becoming more intense, wearing a good sunscreen is crucial to slowing down signs of aging and this mirror is an extremely useful tool to quickly check whether you have applied sunscreen (or need to reapply sunscreen). If it weren't for what I feel is a pretty high price point I would give this product a five star rating. There is an available $40 dollar off coupon and given how much cosmetic products cost I think one can make a strong argument for this being an important part of ones routine if they find comfort in ensuring they are wearing an adequate amount of sunscreen. Granted, one can be methodical and time the application of sunscreen throughout the day but with the included UV card and mirror you will no longer have to second guess whether your skin is protected. Overall I am quite happy with this product as it is one of those things that I never thought I'd want/need but now that I have been exposed to it, it's nice to know that I am a step closer to taking better care of my skin.

Camera is really picking UV light. Put sunscreen on my skin and turned all black. See also skin details invisible under visible light.
