I always wish these books were spiral bound so they would lay flat. Oh well. That's the negative review. On a positive note, the author takes care to include the beginnings of understanding texture, shading and lighting, among others. My skill is increasing just by reading the highly structured instructions! When I go back to the board and pattern, I have a better understanding of how the process unfolds. Thank you Lora

I love the patterns in this book. I have a small burning tool and this book just makes me want another one that is bigger and better and has more tips. I highly recommend this book for those whom are interested in expanding their abilities not only in drawing, burning, art, but also in creativity. I think I am going to use some of the patterns in this book for wood on some copper... :)

It has 32 patterns, and the best instructions. I would recommend for anyone who does, or wants to learn pyrography.

Have been wood burning for quite some time, but learned so much more just reading the intro of the book. Tried her techniques, make my old burnings look like crap.

Gives instruction and examples how to prepare your materials and technique. Practice makes perfect which needs to accompany the book.

An extremely good book with stunning designs and guidance to achieve those results. It will make you want to do more and more.

A lot of detail to help out with getting settled in this new hobby of mine. I wasn’t sure how to start so I read all these books as an introduction to pyrography and I’ve fallen head over heals with the craft from the get go. Landscapes and wildlife have always been an interest of mine, to be able to incorporate these in a hobby like pyrography in these unsettling times has been a godsend. This hobby will keep me sane through my retirement in the near future, I just wish I got into this several years ago. I highly recommend all these reads and sample projects. I’ve also been combining fractal burning with pyrography.

Great instructions. But USA styled sketches. Would have preferred greater portion of out back Australia themed sketches.

This is a very well written book with clear illustrations, good for beginners and more advanced pyrographers. It has sample boards and full designs. I am a beginner and have managed to pick up the skills very quickly using this book.
