Good for Ram Pump
If you have decent flow to ram pump (4gpm), and 3ft of head, this is a great check valve for you. It is well built with smooth insides to help prevent mineral accumulation. Threads are true NPT. And the price is very good (less than 15 dollars for 1 inch brass check valve.) If you have low input flow, this valve might be too heavy for your ram pump.

Unable to purchase at the box stores anymore
I needed this to repair an issue with my rural well. The old valve was leaking and a replacement was not available at the Blue or Orange stores locally. The casting/machining and threads are very clean. The valve works properly and I have no concerns about it's longevity... Great price too!
