Since I bought this knife, its been years now and I have not sharpened them since. It also depends on what you use it for but a kitchen knife is only used for kitchen. They are beauty to eyes, soft as you use and sharp as an eagle eye. I would recommend it to all.

Very sharp and look beautiful though the ergonomics of the handles may not suit everyone. Take claims of “Japanese” with healthy pinch of salt. Many of these are knives which source steel from Japan but are still made in China/Far East and given a Japanese-style makeover. But it’s a very good set if you are not a purist.
