I purchased the black window grid kit because I wanted to paint our white windows black but they have the built in grids. I held off for 2 years because I couldn’t figure out what to do to hide them since I couldn’t paint them to match. I stumbled upon these and purchased immediately! What I like: Quick and easy: clean the windows very well and apply (use a fresh sharp razor blade). My windows are small and have a simple grid pattern so it was easy for me to do but if you have large windows it might be harder to keep the lines straight. Look: when you look into the room they blend in perfectly and look amazing such a difference from the white. If you are right at the window you can tell but you have to be really close and even then it’s probably just because I know. What I don’t like: More my fault not the company, I had prebuilt in grids and these didn’t completely cover them. Far away you don’t see it but again if you are next to the window you see the slivers of white in the outer edges. I wish they were just a little wider. If you are going from a completely blank widow then this isn’t a problem. Overall I highly recommend.

Super pleased with how this worked out. The moulding is thick and it makes nice faux grilles on my home’s hateful old casement windows. Looks realistic from outside as well! Not the hardest DIY project but it helps to have a safety razor, a tape measure, something hard to cut on (i used an old cutting board), and a small level that you can use to keep the edges strait as you press the moulding down. I find it takes about 2 rolls for each full window (if you are doing 6 over 6) and full doors take about 3 rolls each.

So these actually looked better than expected. They are a little aggravating to put on the windows and keep the lines straight due to the nature of the product. We had to replace 2 windows and the contractor didn't realize the other windows had grids and the ones he installed did not. He agreed to replace them or not charge us for the install only the cost of the windows. We chose to take the savings as these windows were in a bedroom. I used this product to match the other windows and overall I am happy with the outcome. They are very sticky so there isn't much room to move them once they are stuck.

Works just like expected and it makes my windows looks so much nicer. Easy to work with and easy to cut. I love that it’s on the thicker side and not flat.

The installation is very easy. Just measure and cut. The adhesion is great quality and makes the windows look better quality. I used two strips at the top evenly measured that made it appear to have 3 individual panes on the top window

It is very difficult to get these to align onto the window perfectly straight. Also the cross sections look terrible where the 2 pieces meet at the X. With extreme patience you may be able to get them straight enough but the manufacturer needs to come up with a solution for the cross sections, maybe include some kind of X adapter or something. I ended up throwing this out as it did not work. You are better off finding the actual wood/vinyl pieces for replacement.

Love them. Can’t afford new windows right now and this way I get to see if I like this look! We do!! Easy to use. I used nice sharp scissors to cut . Just be sure not to stretch while cutting. You can always cut more off but you can’t make it longer, once cut. 😬Quality seems fine, I’ve had some on for over a year. I do wish they were a little stickier.

Was so sad that it was not enough for two big windows Just not long enough

I don’t usually write reviews, but I really love how these turned out. The strips are a little crooked from being rolled, so you will need a level to stick them straight. It’s easiest to cut them with an exacto knife vs scissors. I would also put them on the inside of your windows because I can’t imagine they’ll wear well against weather and most lattices are on the inside anyways. You’ll see the adhesive a little from the outside but from a normal distance you can barely tell. They are a little thinner in width than I would’ve liked, but my husband pointed out it’s more of a vintage width lol. Overall, you can’t beat the price, I love my new DIY upgrade!

I’m very impressed by the ease of application and especially the quality of these grids. They complement our windows beautifully and at first sight you wouldn’t know they are sticked on. From outside they are black too, one can see a bit of a transparent glue, however it’s not a big deal - saying that I’m a perfectionist and it passed with me. If we were spending more time on the balcony, I might stick these grids from outside too.. The glue is very strong, but doesn’t leave any residue if one needs to reposition these..absolutely perfect! Very happy with the purchase so far..

Only received 1 piece and not 5, was grey rather than black, and arrived late. Pity you have to give a minimum of 1 star

The quality is really poor and not what I was looking for.

Difficulty in getting it to a straight line. Looks good if a little wonky
