1. I was trying to find a dash mount ball that didn't require me having to buy a whole new phone holder for my dash board. I've gone through so many other the years and it's not always cheap. 2. This fits most standard phone holders that have the ball mount adapters. 3. THE STICKINESS! I got a little worried that it wasn't going to hold up in the layer spring early summer months of the southern GA heat. This tape has not budged! I can tugg on it and it's not moving or letting loose! However- the instructions need to be followed. At first I thought that I got crappy tape but I put my phone and phone holder on it and it came right off. I read the instructions and realized it has to bond for 24 hrs. I will definitely order again! I'm planning on trying to let my husband try them out in his car since I have 2 spares. Also the little ridges you can bend at the end help if you have a slight curvature to your dash it stuck really well to my equinox dash board.

These are awesome and give me a better angle for the phone cradle on my dashboard in 3 different vehicles! I drilled small holes in the base and used screws in addition to the sticky tape to make them more permanent.

I love these things. They have the most common pivot ball size, 17mm and the adhesive bad is very, very strong. They have been compatible with over 30 mounts I have used in both my personal cars and work trucks. They stick to even slightly textured surfaces, if they fail, you did something wrong, period. These hold my 2 phones and a 9" tablet I have in my cab over work truck which has a faux leather textured dashboard and is exposed to direct sunlight in heats exceeding 100 degrees, all day long. Not one has failed. Just be sure to clean the surface with something that does not leave a residue, like rubbing alcohol. Then, when placing the mount, firmly press down on it for a minute or two. Lastly, do not immediately start using it. Wait a few hours (24 recommended by the manufacturer) before attaching your device. I work with this kind of stuff a lot and have yet to find a better mount and the price is so cheap. Buy them, thank me later.

Very strong adhesive. Not for curved or textured surfaces unless you have something lite.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Needed replacement for my broken car phone holder/charger. This turned out to be better than the original. Just make sure to clean surface with alcohol and wait 24 hours before attaching it to the device.

Excellent, good and strong. Probably will never need 6 of them but I am glad to have that many!

Horrible. Inexpensive and well made but the adhesive is a joke. After lettings sit for 24 hours nafter installation it fell off when I mounted the phone as if it were just standing there without any adhesive. Terribly disappointed that the vendor knows this adhesive doesn't work at all yet keeps selling the product.

I was afraid that the glue will give up after some time but after 6 months it is still holding strong.
