Amazing ride and one of the best ways to have an adventure.
Amazing ride! I’m currently going only 20 MPH, so it’s crazy that I can eventually go 37 MPH. I went for a 21 mile ride today and still had 3/4 of my battery left. I’m curious to see just how far I can go. I’m 59 and this has helped me get in better shape and outdoors more. I use the app Runna to track my rides, so I can see where I’ve had adventures. I love having adventures on this thing 😎 just don’t forget the safety equipment.

Heavy for a beginner
I bought this as my first EUC and it looks like it is very stable to ride with once I learn this thing. I think my biggest hang up is the weight of this thing for a beginner like me. Imagine a 70 lb weight between your legs as you are trying to learn this thing. Kind of heavy and scary. I heard that this is a great wheel AFTER you learn to ride a lighter wheel because it very stable. I will definitely keep this wheel AND buy the Inmotion V5F to learn with that. It is only about 25 lbs which should be a lot easier to learn with. So my opinion to anyone out there trying to buy their very first EUC with no experience is to first try to learn with a lighter model such as the V5 or the V5F and after you feel comfortable with it THEN move up to the V11Y.

Horrible documentation and only headlights seem to work.
Three engineers and one physician tried to help me sign into the app. After an hour, nothing was accomplished. App is rated 2 stars. No way it deserves that many stars. Tried to ride the unicycle but it acts just like a boat anchor. No motor activity or anything. Update: Ended as a total disaster. Had to send it back. Never received any help or meaningful response. 😱

It is a dream come true
Riding one is so much fun! Both hands free to talk on the phone and sip on coffee at the same time while being able to walk into the store and not worry about it getting stolen like the bikes locked up outside. Don't have to worry about losing the remote or remote disconnects like on an electric skateboard and has plenty of torque so it won't nosedive like the onewheel often does. Much more maneuverable than scooters and e-bikes. I previously owned an Inmotion V11 but sold it to get newer/faster wheels like the Veteran Lynx but it turned out that I did like like the trade-off in weight. The heavier/wider wheels just didn't feel as enjoyable to ride for day to day activity. I missed the V11 so much I decided to purchase the V11y. It improved on the original V11 by adding one of the most important features for me - a smart BMS which is important for managing and monitoring battery health. I've owned scooters, esk8s, Onewheels and other PEVs and out of them all, the EUC is my favorite and the one that I would not give up. Inmotion's support team has been great to deal with as well.

For the heavier simpleton
I went back and forth for months between the one wheel and the v11. I finally decided on the v11 and it didn’t disappoint. Read some bad reviews about it not working right. They just got a dud or are more of a simple person than I am. Which is saying something. Learning to ride I watched a lot of videos and they kinda helped but what got me acclimated was going up and down the hall way where I could hold myself up. Then I got a staff that I could balance myself out in the open. Even went to a baseball field and rode the outfield fence line. Once I could get going the next hurdle was getting started without an assist. That took about an hour of hopping on and off. Once you get on it you can’t hesitate. Just gotta lean into it and go. As far as the weight… it is HEAVY but as I am 270 pounds that helps a little once you get used to riding it. The battery is the cause of the weight. I have gone as far as 3 miles in one ride and it never got under 95%. I still want the onewheel for golf and such but I’m not unpleased in the least with this device!
