These are larger than regular safety pins used in diapers years ago. (So they leave wide open spaces where not expected in comparison to the other traditional safety pins.) They are beautifully crafted and not to common - so people do not recogized them for what they are: glorified safety pins turned into jewelry. They do have a sharp point that seems sharper than what the safety pins I used in the past had, yet they are not as flimsy but a bit thicker. They are of the same style and so they can be mixed and matched easily. . . I bought them for help with modesty . . . I have not had them for long. The neutral colors of some will make them versatile with different clothes. A desperate person could use these with cloth diapers if safety pins can't be found at the store or home. They have a fair price as it would be more expensive to DIY for the set up and materials needed to match the quality and variety.

These pins are pretty. I had trouble using them to cinch jeans at the waist but for pants other than denim, they rock! I have a few dresses from my grandma that are a surplice top (the top that one side crosses over the other side, usually at the bust) and are a little big on my small chest, I use these to keep the top closed and add a little pizzazz. I have also used them to keep a cardigan closed and even as a brooch to add something a little extra to an outfit. I'm happy with my purchase. I gave it 4 stars because I really bought them to cinch the waist of my jeans and they aren't sturdy enough for that, but lots of other great uses!

Love these brooches made my sister a tie and used the brooches for it

Not quite as strong as I would have liked. Wanted to use them for the waistband of my jeans. They are okaywhen I put them on, but they stretch out after a few hours. The pins aren't strong enough to go through the denim fabric doubled. The studs I wanted for my tops. Sometimes the neckline is just too low. The studs work where I put them so far. I think some of the heavier winter tops might not work.
