50 Reflections on the Quran

I got the book on Friday and I’ve already read it, but I’m looking forward to reading it again and again - because it’s one to keep on the nightstand, one to take on travels, one to read on those rainy days - It’s something that can be shared with loved ones, with children, with our parents and our spouses. The author has shared reflections from 50 verses of the Quran, things that made her think a certain way, made her ask herself questions - this book can be the beginning of asking ourselves have we thought about how the 6000 plus ayahs make us feel every day.I love when a book is written out of love and fear of Allah, because the reader senses it and it then awakens their own love and fear of the One they love dearly too.

I really love the process of reflecting upon the verses of the Qur’an and making them personal to my own life and any trials or hardships I may be facing. Sister Sumayah has a wonderful way of helping the reader to draw more from the words of Allah and to really connect to the verses. I highly recommend this book. Whether you’re new to Quranic reflections or you do this process often, this book helps you dig deeper. There really is no right or wrong way with this process but this book helps you to to get an insight into how Sumayah draws more from the words of the Qur’an, and gently guides you to start asking your own questions.

All the best to the author it was just far more simple than i expected. i know it is not supposed to be a tafsir book but i thought there would be examples of real life experiences relating to the the ayahs or more of a story between them. Becuase of this lack of relatable storyline or extra context around the ayahs then i found no emotion through the book which i was hoping for
