Yes these are small, but the dimensions are listed in the product description, so I don’t know why some reviewers are surprised by the size. I agree that for very thick hair they are probably not the best choice, however for fine or thin hair they are absolutely perfect. Seeing as most hair products cater to thick luscious hair, it’s nice to finally have something for us baby fine hair girlies. These are on the pricy side but, wow they are high quality and beautiful. They are definitely not cheap looking or feeling. They hold my fine hair back perfect and also go great in updos. They help to add volume and dimension by holding the hair in place, but not down flat. I love them and will be buying them in every color. Made in France.

I got the small combs to hold back one side of my hair. These are absolutely exquisite. They come beautifully packaged. Though small, they hold my hair in place just perfectly. They are strong and nicely made.

The hair combs are pretty. They really do grip your hair. However, I think the price for them is a little high for what they are made of.

These Camila of Paris French Hair Side Combs Handmade are just gorgeous in the Onyx color that I ordered. I have used many brands of hair combs over the years, but I must say these are the nicest ones I have ever had. They are so smooth to the touch with absolutely no sharp edges to catch on your hair. The teeth of the combs are just the right length and hold your hair securely so that they stay in all day. Many other brands will fall out of your hair and you lose them, but not these! The width of the combs is just the right size that I like to wear, as I don’t like the really wide ones—-just a smaller accent comb that holds my fine hair securely. I absolutely LOVE the colors and how they are swirled or mixed. The color variations are just lovely, and they shine and catch the light, giving your look a lot of flair! Feel confident in ordering these attractive handmade in Paris hair combs and you will love them as much as I do! I will definitely look for more of them in different colors. I’m a very happy buyer!

I love these side combs! They are so beautiful and function so well. I wear side combs all the time but I’ve always had the larger ones. These 1” are much better than I expected and work well. They are more flexible than the ‘cheap’ ones and worth the price if you wear side combs as much as I do. I have ordered the larger size too and delivery is today. The function and beauty of this ‘onyx’ color is amazing. Love!!!

I wish the description said that these are less than 2 inches in width, I didn't see it if it did though I checked. I think they are lovely little combs, but they are still just plastic. I was not a fan of paying almost $20 for 3m inches of plastic. I have thick dense hair, they work fine for a little while, but I would definitely prefer a wider comb. I would purchase another set that was wider but I wouldn't purchase this exact one again.

The two combs are absolutely gorgeous and are a quality product. They are not large but suitable to keep hair back and hold in place. They may not be suitable for course thick hair but are great for thick fine hair. I highly recommend this product.

I have curly thick and long hair so the drugstore ones simply don't do the job. They break easily and loses their grip. These are discrete, small but still efficient.
