I’ve used this to hook my keys to my pants and it has worked perfectly! It holds my keys on very securely and is not too heavy it self. The look of it is also really nice! The paint does eventually chip off with use.

The threads for the lock do not seem like they are cut very deep and the metal of the lock seems of low grade. Doesn't give a sure feeling that the lock is solid and won't slip. It does twist up and engages to secure the carabiner but just doesn't give that solid feeling when threaded all the way up. Still it is better than the carabiner I previously had that somehow opened under water on the lake bottom and let my anchor come out but managed to stay on the line itself. Hope the threads of the lock on this one doesn't fail and allow the lock to free slide. I have latched to my anchor several times and it is working as intended but the looseness in the threads just aren't giving me confidence. Only good thing about the looseness is it is very easy to twist up and down.

Works great strong hold. Using it to hold up chandelier length.

Este mosquetón me ha servido muchísimo para la correa de mi perro, que es un pastor alemán y jala bastante. Es súper resistente, de excelente calidad y se siente muy seguro al usarlo. Lo uso para unir la correa con el collar y hasta ahora ha funcionado perfectamente, sin soltarse ni aflojarse. Muy recomendable para perros grandes y fuertes.

Strong, sturdy, and the locking mechanism works without a hitch! We are securing each of our chicken coop entry points with these. The raccoons efforts have been thwarted! Keep in mind that our coop structure itself has 19 gauge hardware cloth securely stapled to all walls and windows, and we have a 3 foot wide predator apron (wire fencing) laying flat on the ground and stapled to the base of our run around the entire perimeter of the run/coop. This prevents digging predators from gaining access. The clips are to lock all of the latches on our front and rear entry doors as well as our laying box. This way no raccoons can manipulate the latches and enter the coop that way. Happy with how heavy duty these feel and how well they work. Very pleased!

>Yeah, this is NOT meant to be used as a keyring, but that's why it's heavy. I was looking all over amazon for a gold carabiner to match my gold theme. I have a gold belt buckle, gold G-Shock GMW-B5000GD-9, and my RayBan New Caravans with custom orange to yellow "sunburst" tinted lenses, and this was the only one that was fully "gold" and it's heavy duty meant for actually hanging stuff. Yeah, like the other review said, it's literally more of a brass color, like a trumpet or something, but i pulled the trigger on it and I'm glad i did. The quality is great, I can't imagine this thing ever breaking especially being used just as a keychain.
