Cheap lock. No keys! I haven't used one of these since high school. I forgot how great they are. The combination is taped to the back by the way, so you want to stash that someplace handy in case you forget. This is the standard Master Combo Lock you can get anywhere, but what makes it so great is how cheap it is. Now, speaking of "cheap," it is a bit chintzier than the one in the 1970's. It is not as smooth of a dial feel, and the plastic dial is a bit lower quality craftsmanship, but it does its job. This is great for locking garages, bikes, lockers, gates, and such. Medium security. It is not designed against FBI raids or hardened criminals, but as "locks keep honest men honest," this is an extremely inexpensive deterrent to people swiping your stuff. I had to get one for a swim test (locker use), and for six bucks (Amazon price) including shipping (Prime), this was too good of a deal to pass up. You can rely on this. It is "the brand" and the combination part is nice. Unlike past models, this does not come with an alternate "key unlocking feature" in the back. If you lose the combination you will need a Dremel to cut this thing.

Wow, I am at a lost for words but I will try my best. First off, the color choice is not yours so it was like going back to my childhood waiting for Xmas with the anticipation of which color the scientist at MasterLock would send directly to ME! It turned out to be light blue which is OK because even though I am member of the 203-UBN. I just told the homies that it was Carolina Blue for Michael Jordan and it was cool. But let’s get to the actual lock. Let me tell you...it works! No matter what I put the lock on, people cannot seem to get into my stuff. My cellie Prison Dan is always trying to get into my stash, this lock has made sure my soup packets, soap, and K2 are there when i get back from the showers or the yard. If you are looking for a durable lock, look no further. The other day this Crab goofball defaced my tag in the laundry room and I had to set it on him. I through this amazing product right in one of Prison Dan’s extra large tube socks and went to town. When I got outta Seg and back in Gpop, the lock was still working! I read a lot of the reviews that said they had trouble opening the lock. I decided to buy this lock anyway, just to see. It's a good brand and it is inexpensive. Anyway, I too had trouble opening it, and it would only open once every 4 tries, despite the fact that I was doing it right. Well I figured out a trick. Every time you go to the number, you go past the number 0.5. So think of each tick as being 1, and then in between each tick is 0.5. So say it was 12 - 30 - 01 as the combo. You turn it right full rotations 3 times to restart it, then you turn right to 0.5 past 12, which is really like 11.5, then you turn it left to 0.5 past 30, which is like 30.5, then you turn it right 0.5 past 01, which is like 0.5. I hope that makes sense because that is how I figured it out. Good luck to you all! I give it 4 stars due to it being difficult to open and also because you cannot choose the color. I got blue and that was the color I wanted the least. :/ Oh well! I guess it matches my blue swim shorts. Haha!

I use to love these locks as they last a long time but had to stop using them a while back when my cash kept disappearing everytime I went to the gym. At first I thought I was not keeping track of my spending then one day I got some money from the ATM right before a workout and went for coffee afterwards only to find my cash was gone again. A friend told me to watch a YouTube video to see how fast these locks could be overcome. I watched a video that showed a person taking a piece from an aluminum can and wedging it into the lock where it opens and watched the lock pop open. I have since used other Master locks which I have lost the keys to while working out, and other combination locks that broke after being dropped. When I seen this lock, it said the company had included an anti-shimming feature which was basically a few ridges which would snag a piece of aluminum shoved into the opening to push the locking mechanism open. Although I seen another video which showed this, too could be overcome no reasonably affordable lock is truly able to stop a determined thief. But for the price, and the new anti-shim feature I am back to using a lock that is slightly harder to break into. Apparently all these locks are for is to keep the honest people honest. And I no longer leave my wallet (or any valuables) in the locker.

El primero que me llegó no servía, abría cuando quería, y varias personas lo probamos... lo devolví y el segundo funciona sin problemas. Después de meses de usarlo se ha debilitado un poco, es decir que se siente un poco flojo en la rueda de la combinación, pero cierra perfectamente.

You get what you pay for with Master, which is a kind way of saying this cheap lock is only a minor deterrent for anyone hoping to open your locker. I really thought it would be green, as pictured, but was shipped a blue lock. Probably just inattention to the listing on my part
