Dongar Dash Cam Power Adapter (5-Pin Type A) for Select Toyota/Lexus with Roof Option Connector, Compatible w/ 2024+ Toyota Tacoma

This was extremely easy to install on a 2025 tundra sr5 it's a true plug and play and it gave me more cable then I needed the space where it sits has more than enough room to push everything in nice and tidy it turns on and off with the truck everytime. However it does not have power when the truck is off since its connected to the dome lights so if your looking for 24hr dash cam protection you may want to go with something different luckily that's not what I was looking for. It's not a horrible price for being a specialty item either

I tried many of the other adapters but this is actually the only one that worked for our 2023 Sienna. It was a breeze to install. Quality item. Definitely recommend. Although price is higher than the competition, it's reliable. Save me time if I went with Dongar in the first place. Includes USB-C and Micro USB cable.

Doesn’t draw enough power for vantrue ns4 front and rear camera. The dash cam restarts every 60 seconds. Using the cigarette lighter has no issue. Dongar can’t handle it.

I installed my first dash cam in our 3rd Gen Tundra and didn't want any wires to show or to have to run wire under panels. I heard about this product from one of my blogs and it had great reviews. I had it installed in about 15 mins and the camera in another 5. It came with all the tools needed for panel removal and fit my wiring harness in the ceiling perfectly. Even came with a nice short USB-C power cable for the camera. It's so small and easy to hide in the ceiling you can't even see it. YT videos are a great help showing how to safely remove the shroud without breaking any tabs. It was well worth the cost to eliminate hokey wiring and save a ton of time getting power to a camera or radar detector.

Used in a 2025 Sienna to power a Terunsoul dash cam. Easy to install and works great. I used power connector in roof dome light. Note that this does not power when van is off.

First thing to know, this comes in two variations (at least for the Tundra). There is a MIRROR TAP version and a ROOF INSTALL version. They have different plugs, so make sure you buy the right one. This one connects to the factory dash cam plug that is in the roof behind the sunglasses holder and sunroof controls. Second, don't waste your time looking at other adapters. Sure, they may be cheaper, but they aren't wired correctly, even if it looks like it's the same plug. This is the only one I've found that works, plus you get a longer cable that allows you to mount the USB-C connector to the glass, meaning that even if you change out your dash camera, you won't need to open the headliner again. Great job Dongar!

Fit well in my '23 tundra for dash cam. Just like all the youtube videos, using this Dongar was a simple and clean way to install my dash cam. The most difficult part was removing the roof panel to access the plug. Did this install in less than 30 minutes, most of which were spent watching YT how-to videos.

Works as advertised. I was able to use the adapter and a short USB cable out from the headliner to power my dashcam

I recommend a 90deg usb cable into the dashcam, the supplied straight cable end is stressed against the dashcam mount, possible connection failure later

So much easier than runing a 'add a fuse' to power my dash cam. Great quality and came packaged nicely. Dongar even had install videos on their website to help with install.
