Good door for cats
Door works well, magnet is strong and seals well.

Great!
Out of all the cat doors on amazon, this is the best one. It installs very easy, and is very functional. I like hot you can lock it in either way, or both ways. The brown matched my wood door very nicely.

CATS, Please Exit Here !!!
Got this after getting my head spinning reading reviews. I wanted brown because in my situation it blends perfect, but did not want to get junk just to get brown. Turns out it is a well made, good looking, good operating little door. The plastic frame is thick and strong and should never be an issue. The magnet closes the door instantly and totally quiet but a gentle nudge from the cat opens it. The door is edged with fuzz to make a draft proof seal and also is silent. I thought the locking feature would be unused since it was only leading to the cellar. Then I realized that when the cellar bulkhead door is open the cats could escape. Just a little flip of a tab and they can't come through while I have the outside door open. Great !!! I bought the large door since my cats are on the large size. It is perfect but not huge. Unless you cat is a shrimp why make him squeeze through a tight door. Time will tell about durability but so far I am totally impressed with this little door.

Poor Design & Instructions
This is the third pet door I've bought and installed. The previous two were metal doors and they were rock solid. This is my first plastic door. I chose it because the price was right and because it's brown, it will blend better on the dark wood door. Also, since Amazon seems to have so many for sale - and with good reviews - I figured the plastic ones had to be good enough. Now, I'm not so sure. I can't even get the two door pieces to stay on and together. Metal screws into plastic - go figure - I guess someone thought this was an indestructible design. I disagree. It's barely hanging on. My cat would knock this off in an hour. So, I'm headed to Lowe's today to buy some new screws - and hopefully this will salvage the door installation experience. The instructions are just wrong - in a few places: the recommended drill bit - IMO - would render this useless because the screws would definitely not fit. And, the screw selection (they included 3 sets) instructions, based on the width of my door, recommends the middle length set - which was far too short. Then, moving to the only other choice - the screws stick out very far, and are very sharp - so I would be concerned about a pet getting hurt on these. I would have had to saw the ends off if they had actually worked and held the two pieces on. Very disappointing - what a waste of my time. Update: now it's bolted on rock solid after a trip to Lowe's.

Perfect for big cats... not so for kittens
My big cat had no problem with this door... when we lost him & got a new kitten it didn't work so well. The kitten tried to run through it & instead got a headache by ramming the door so hard with his head. I had to remove the magnet on the bottom of the door. It was to strong of a magnet for the 4 month old kitten to push open. It stays closed just as well without it, but it would be nice if the magnet was removable & replaceable instead of having to pry it off with pliers! I also removed the locking slide on it since it wasn't needed. Another feature that should be easily removable & replaced if necessary. Other than that it's a great door & easy to install.

Works Well and Looks Good.
This works well, and it looks good. I'm not impressed at all with the buttons though. I don't use them, but I would rather have a piece of plastic to snap into place when I wanted to stop kitty. I understand that it can be set to allow just entry or exit or both or neither, but I don't think they would stop a determined cat. I will be designing such a plug out of wood and weatherstripping so I can block it off during the winter months. Here's my tip to get your cat to use it. When it's dinner time, let your cat smell the bowl and then walk to the cat door. When the cat approaches, let the cat smell the food once more and then put it through the cat door. My cat didn't mind the door, but wouldn't bump it with his head to open it. I did it for him at first, and then I started gently pushing him into it. It only takes a small nudge. It took about two weeks before he started going in and out by himself. Edit: I bought this in June 2018. It is now December 2020. It worked perfectly until last night during a wet freezing night. It froze, and the cat was stuck outside. This morning, I had to tap on it quite a bit before I could open the door outward, but it wouldn't open inward. I had to hold the door open so he could come in. I came here to look for instructions on setting the four tabs that control whether the cat can go in and out. Didn't find them. Don't like that. From what I heard when I was drying off from my shower, the cat tried extremely hard to get in. Maybe one of the switches was partially moved by the cat. In any event, I don't want that to happen again, and posting a link to the instructions would have been helpful. Well, I'm a guy. I'm used to tinkering with stuff without any idea what I'm doing. Maybe it'll work this time.

WELL MADE AND EASY TO INSTALL
A great cat door! It is easy to install and very well made. Took my cats a few days to figure out the resistance of the door magnet. Their other door swings freely. But once they adjusted to the need to give this one a bit of a push, they use it with ease. I bought this door for the larger size and it works nicely for my 14 lb. cats. The cats seem to enjoy the clear door flap and often just use it as a cat height window to the great outdoors.

We wanted a slightly larger cat flap to install on our new solid oak internal door, allowing our cats to move freely around the house once they come in from outside. The cat flap came with a template, was easy to install, and worked like a dream. The profile of the cat flap is really slim and not bulky at the edges, making it look more seamless when fitted into the door. It's well-made and large enough for the biggest cats. I would thoroughly recommend this product and so would my cats.
